I'm sure Alanis Morrisette would have something to say about this
Why not just identify himself ffs
The usual racist claim that 'they all look the same' will not stand up to the Police Complaints Procedure. Hopefully. This will probably be swept under the carpet to protect those 'brave' police officers.
I'm sure the officer that discharged the taser has black friends too.
Two officers facing a 63 year old, unarmed man. If they can't detain him without the taser then WTF are they doing in the police? An icy path or a packet of Werther's could detain him for fox sake.
That's unreal. Genuinely, incredibly unreal.
And folk want to give our police forces guns.
Tasering him in the face ffs 😳
What the hell made them think that was appropriate?
Seriously they should be sacked just for that. It's way above and beyond "reasonable force".
Still at work though. Not consequences for tasering an elderly guy who wasn't using any force in the face. Madness.

They couldn't understand the public outcry when Police Scotland started allowing trained officers out to be armed on routine work.

Bet he gives his name the next time he's asked though
If I had a taser I would probably want to taser someone in the face with it.
Curly you were looking for Netflix suggestions. Person of interest. 1St series is good. 2nd series so far is brilliant and I have been told series 3 and 4 get even better

I'm white and well into my 7th decade.
Never been stopped once in my life brought up in a tough area.
I know black and Asian lads in their 20's / 30's who are often stopped on
their way home from University or work.
Rosa Parks was asked why she did her bus protest.
She replied ''I was just sick and tired of it''.
Sheer racism and anyone who says it isn't is part of the problem.

i have been stopped, i always give my name
Get what your saying spr but the guy works closely with the worst examples of racism from police towards ethnic minorities on a daily basis - you could understand why he might feel aggrieved a bit by being stopped as he tried to go into his house - for white people in this country we would perhaps be more likely to comply simply because it's not the norm. If it was happening regularly we would get quite belligerent about it.
personally i would have wanted the neighbour to stop filming a bit earlier and come over and say he lives in there mate.
Not long just heard the victim talking on the radio.
His answer was that he was going into his own home when the officers aggressively started questioning him and demanding his name. He refused to answer because in his words he "believed no matter what he said they looked like they were hong to take action and would never believe him". He said he was actually in real fear of being harmed.
From his own fwcking police force ffs
Just for the record you are not obliged to give your name when asked to do so without there being a valid reason given. In any event it cannot possibly have been construed as meriting this kind of reaction of being tasered in the face.
