No one in there right mind is sat thinking £100k a week is the right wage for him.... 1) It might not be true... 2) it's not his fault.

Squirting misery ink and making up that he was on a par with the likes of Martial and Mkhi against WBA is pointless though.

UTD are mad with the cash... As Rosso pointed out... He'd be getting paid 1/3rd of what Poglet gets. That's football... That';s UTD

At least Lingard scores important goals and has added to us rather than them

Depends whose squad they're in. Sadly ours are earning as much as most premier league club's top earners.

It's why we keep struggling to move on the average players in our squad.

Well as a united fan I have every right to voice my opinion and if I don't think he's good enough I will voice it. Certainly not pointless IMO. What are we all as fans supposed to sit there and be content whatever?

to be fair, united make c. £400m a year in revenues, and the typical wages:income ratio is 50-60%.

that would allow them to pay £200m odd a year in wages, which would allow you to pay 12 players an average of £200k a week (some on £120k, some £150k, some 250-300k) = £125m, another 12 c. 100k a week = £62m, and still have another £13m left over to pay the kids £10k a week.

So because we are a big club we have to offer him a 100k?
Spurs are better then us at the moment. I bet Alli is on the same or even less. As is Kane and probably Eriksen

I bet Mane and Coutinho are probably on around the same if not much more

He also English and home grown which helps

And he knows how to follow out Joses orders on the pitch which other more favoured players can't.

We just don't have a CM midfield player, for example, anywhere near like Nicky Butt. Our back up strikers just don't compare to OGS. Lee Sharpe being back up to Giggsy.

Do you know how contracts work? If you go into your bosses office and demand your wages tripled, do they just "get raped" or do they laugh at you? UTD clearly think it is worth rewarding such players.

maths aside though, i still query the negotiations at united...you're on £30k a week jesse? and you want £80k? how does £100k sound?

on manc's point i think alli doubled his wages with his last contract, to £50k a week, and kane is on c. £100k. liverpool (i think) tend to put quite a few performance related elements into their contracts, so i doubt coutinho/mane are on more than £100k basic.
