Remember BM being left alone at press conferences to filed all sorts of questions, Redfearn with no idea what was going on, same with Evans.

I would rather not hear Cellino's ranting, but do feel we're heading into turmoil again especially with Monk and club having had no talks at all.

If you want to retain him you dont leave it this late in day, I think he'll be made a scapegoat for ST refund and then we waste half of preseason finding a manager.

If they find a manager straight away then that means they've been talking to him for a while which means they won't have been focussed on supporting Monk which could explain awful run of results in last month or so.

There's a tendency for everyone to look for a scapegoat when situations turn against us. The boardroom, the manager, the players and in recent times the fans too have had their criticism.

"We don't want Cellino" has been the clamour for as long as he's been here, before that every administration since Silver & Fotherby has been the focus of vitriol.

Every manager since Grayson lost his way has come under criticism too.

Well we have a new owner, likely that Cellino will disappear in the Summer. We've appointed a director of football, hat will have serious repercussions within the coaching set up. I read about the concerns re Monk on another thread. Well the uncertainty around contract extensions suggest that Monk isn't in a position to confirm his whereabouts.

Like others, about three or four weeks ago the Norwich City connection came up. Wouldn't surprise me. We talk about wanting consistency but virtually everyone on here wants change within some element of the club!!

There's a knock-on effect to any element of change. One of my friends who is very well connected suggested a replacement manager has been lined up should we not get promoted.

For me team selection has been baffling of late. The perseverance with Phillips particularly bemusing. Surely team selection is the remit of the coach? Or are we still maintaining that Cellino picks the team?

Missing out on the play offs is hugely disappointing, if that is what transpires, but I recall sages on here predicting relegation before and during the early stages of this season. For me, to be disappointed about where we are reflects the huge strides that this club has made within a short period of time.

Keep the faith. Spending huge sums that we don't have will only put us back to the darkest of times.

Progress is great and we have progressed. Rome wasn't built in a season......

I think if Monk goes it will be because AR has someone lined up already.

I can't see another MC fiasco. He's gone 1st June according to some reports on Twitter.

What our club needs is stability. Monk has done enough, and surely AR sees that, to have a summer transfer window to make a better go of it next season - assuming we don't go up.

There is a tendency for people to be turned on which never helps, as you say be it player, manager, owner, fellow fan - it happens on these boards!!!!

Here's hoping AR has concrete plans for the club and is looking to take us forward. Could do without another fiasco - fiasco's are really boring now......

We've appointed a director of football,

Who and when did that happen

Yep and then that means Monk hasn't been getting AR's full support when most needed.

I will believe Cellino's gone when club announce it, but it needs to be completely gone, 100%

It could be that AR decided to hold fire on player investment, unfortunate as that now appears to be, until he had full control - hopefully this summer.

Perhaps he gambled that GM could sustain the league position and we'd achieve at least playoffs, but without a significant outlay.

I can believe this, but one thing we do know for sure is that Cellino told him not to spend.

AR has commented on not spending money and that we shouldn't expect that.

Sorry, posters, I think you are missing the point here. We are getting tied up in the decision-making, and losing sight of who we are as a club.
The clubs that are doing well are playing with pride, passion and most importantly, fearlessness. They nick goals in the last minutes of a game, they come from behind to steal points, they love winning. It's not just three more points, it's a vindication of self-belief. In this league, that counts for a lot. Each of the top seven sides has strengths and weaknesses, and we have a pretty even record against them in terms of points. We just don't play with the self-expression and freedom of the other teams, whether we are winning or losing. That's all it is for me.

From Jan:

http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/sport/football/leeds-united/leeds-united-s-new-co-owner-andrea-radrizzani-reveals-clear-vision-for-whites-1-8335440

Radrizzani talked of “investment year by year” and of “gradual innovation” in one division or the other. In five years’ time, if not before, he expects to see significant results.

“There is a lot to do here but luckily in my life I had the opportunity to work closely with many big clubs in the UK and other countries,” Radrizzani said. “I know exactly how clubs are structured, how they work and how they increase their revenue internationally. “Obviously we’re playing in the Championship and we can’t do everything but we can start to make the club a little bit more ready. What I found here is that a lot of things are still very old. Not only the facilities but also in terms of services and operations. Gradually we need to bring in a little bit more innovation but we have good people. We start from there.”

"The club cannot make big investment while we’re in the Championship"
“I’m not here to make big losses or to lose money for many years but I can promise that I’m happy to invest to reactivate the engine, let’s say. That’s a good expression. To make the club progress year-by-year and gradually, even in the Championship. I’m happy to make investment and to take some losses for a few years but of course I have a timeline that in my mind is five years to see good results from this club. Hopefully before.”

Good, I think we had a pretty good record of competing right to the end, but momentum is a powerful thing and we completely lost that after international break.

Where not in the play offs because we simply don't have enough good players

We haven't played well for months and months

This side isn't a top six side, performances always eventually turn into results

Thanks i get you now

This deal to buy him out, if AR wants to do it does MC have to due to an agreement or does MC have the right to refuse to sell his 50%?

Walsall

Quality always rises to the top

You have the odd season like Leicester

But overall the teams who do well have the better players

And we simply don't have many of them players
