Jose's just saying what the majority of the United fanbase said for most of last season. We need more qaulity.
The only issue I see is the fact Jose is becoming more and more open with these comments but we saw the same with Moyes and LVG in their pre-seasons when the matter of potential signings was brought up.
LVG eventually got what he wanted,Moyes less so.
Also,Ed (and the gang) did some great work last season with who was brought in but, like people say,you cant stand still. You need to keep improving because most of your competitors,as we've especially seen with City, will improve.
Jose is desperate for success. He's a winner. But if you dont give him what he wants then cracks start to appear.
4 new signings. How many did he sign last year, 4 was it? So he's signed 7, soon to be 8 players that would be first team players
------------
including players that we haven't signed? well done

Jose is probably already lining up his excuses if he fails this season. He is like that, he will blame someone else to take the pressure off himself. If he doesn't get his transfers in you can guarantee he will bring it up if we are going through a bad spell throughout the season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree, said this a few weeks ago, I was lambasted by the cult that is Jose's fanclub on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolute nonsense. I'd say this about any manager at any club who have done the same in that he's using the media to push ED into getting the deals done.
He's correct in saying that the earlier you get the player the better, so he's just saying to the club spend what you need and get the deal done - nothing at all wrong with that as he doesnt care about the financial side.
He's the manager, and he wants everything to be done in the way that suits him best. No 'excuse' in it at all.

He said to the media, we need players. If that's not directed at Ed, then what is it?
I dont think it's even Ed Jose is having a grumble at here.
Think it's purely aimed at the feet of our American owners.
He's the manager, and he wants everything to be done in the way that suits him best. No 'excuse' in it at all.
========================
Does that not mean that if everything is not done the way he want then he will have an excuse?
It does all seem a bit Mourinho.
It's not even a grumble if you read the full comments
He congratulates West Ham on their summer and then mentions in passing he wants a couple more players
You guys overanalyse waaaaayy too much

.............
No it isn't.
Not sure what that is supposed to mean though. I mean no-one (in their right mind) expects West Ham to challenge for the league so it's either bizarre or it's a dig.
As said all very Mourinho.
Jose is probably just alittle jealous that his rival chequebook manager Pep seems to be having a jolly ol'time throwing money around just down the road.
Bit passive aggressive isn't it.

After LvG and Moyes this board needs to find middle ground.
I would rather like SAF said 'I am happy with my squad' while Gill worked on signings in the background.
These comments would fuel the media if things don't go our way with 'sources close to Jose' etc etc
These comments also drive up prices

It's funny really
There's no issue here. Yet when people try to say there's no issue it's suddenly 'making excuses for Jose' when in reality the only issue is what these people are making
They're inventing the problem and think they're the cure
Amazing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How can you conclude there is no issue from the quotes? Jose himself says well done, but it's not enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But he's right,surely ?
If he and the United fanbase want success this season then cearly they would like to see more quality in the side ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree, he is absolutely right.
Robb is suggesting people are making up that Jose isn't happy with the window so far though. He clearly states it isn't enough when other clubs are doing their business (in his words) quicker and better.
Not sure he said better, Busby. And if he did, I would certainly question that.

You sound exactly like the Liverpool fans when Kenny returned and we know how that ended.
As for the title next season the team's i fear the most are City and Spurs, Arsenal have Wenger and i don't think you and the scousers aren't consistent enough, but i guess were see.
Either way. Nothing can be gained by constantly saying you need 1 more player.
