It was a classic "shinner"

I really haven't warmed to Dier at all. Think he seems lazy and arrogant (without founding). Not too sure what he excels at either. Wanyama >>>

Defo looking that way, based on last week...... Thats a great squad....Barkley as an alternative to Eriksen & Dele would have been perfect

Is Sanchez gonna be going straight into your back 3 or is he one for he long term and will be eased in?

I like Dier, he is not flash, he is just the sort of player every half decent team needs. I suspect Poch likes him as well, he never ever drops him, and he rarely gets injured. Spurs may have some new players, but I am willing to bet Dier will not be left out to accommodate any of them.

Agree. I'd have Winks on the bench instead of Trippier maybe though

be interesting to see what Poch does re Dier/Wanyama/Sanchez

One big no from me is a 4321 formation with Dier, Wanyama and Dembele in the middle, just makes no sense

Dier vs Wanyama...always be careful what you wish for...

Supposedly Dier sees himself as a CM. In my opine he stood a better chance of starting most games at RCB in a back 3.

If Wanyama plays anything like last season I can see Dier kicking up a fuss with his bench time. The only silver lining is Dembele won't play 2 games in a week.

No nonsense Dier! He gets instruction, goes out and executes them with no frills!
Everyone went to sleep for the corner apart from him👍

Good finish that is extremely hard to execute.

I don't think it was entirely intentional

DOnt think he's been at is best for a bit, last night he was a second off the pace but so were much of the rest of the team, until he scored. For a DM or CB he's useful on the ball, naturally no so good when under pressure.

I like his attitude. He doesnt like losing and is happy to kick lumps out of the opposition, which we all love really!

Sanchez will be a first team regular fairly quickly in my opinion!

In his first season as a DM, Dier did well because he played a disciplined role, worked extremely hard defensively and kept things simple

Nowadays he thinks he's way better than he is, that's the impression I get. He demanded a midfield position, well then he has no right to kick up a fuss when he can't get into the team ahead of Dembele and Wanyama

He doesn't play at a fast enough tempo with or without the ball
