I'm debating going electric for my next car but the lack of chargers is what puts me off.

Won't be for another couple of years so hopefully by then there will be more, but they do need to rapidly start building some infrastructure (ha, like that will ever happen in this country).

I have an electric car and think it's brilliant. I only use it for commuting and local driving. We have a second car for long distance driving (also when we need a big car).

I only ever have to charge it on my drive every 2 or 3 days (I commute 54 miles in total each day). Its saved me over £200 a month in fuel. Nice to drive as well.

Problem generally isn't the number of chargers. It's the quality and maintenance of them. Another thing the government has privatised or under invested in.

I'm being chauffeured about and we have just spent an hour looking for a working charger. It's a VW id6 and a lovely car but, this experience, not for me.

Yeah, I wouldn't have one if I was doing long distance driving all the time. They are great if you are just using for commuting and driving within a certain radius though.

The problems are the infrastructure. It's a pretty good summary of society really how everyone blames the cars themselves, rather than the root cause of the problem with them which is the under investment in the infrastructure to support them.

Sums up most problems in this country.

Just looked it up and Google Maps tells locations, but not if they're working. Sounds like something the people who own/run them could easily publicise. Could even be some money in it.

So from a BIK perspective, if you can get them through work the RR and RR Sport hybrids are seeming like really decent options. 60 miles OTR electric range plus decent petrol backing them.

The deportation law was brought in in 2007 by Labour and not only brown and black people have been deported under it.

The intervention in 2020 was merely for the purpose of celebs and MP's to raise their profile through the popularity of anti-racism gestures at the time.
