There have been hundreds of thousands of Israelis out on the streets, putting themselves at risk, protesting against the actions of Netanyahu’s administration.

There are huge numbers of pacifist, anti-expansionist, non-Zionist, and anti-Zionist Israelis, none of whom I would imagine would appreciate being labelled a Naziiii.

I’ve heard plenty of Israelis complaining about the heavily biased media coverage they get.

Similarly I wouldn’t label all brits as active supporters in ethnic clensing, just because we are selling arms to the IDF.

How about those Brits actively supporting those political parties perpetuating or pledging to perpetuate the sale of arms, servicing of materiel and provision of intelligence to the current Israeli administration?

For example, under Starmer and the previous Tory administrations we have provided parts for and serviced jets which have been used to flatten Gaza, likely directly responsible for thousands of deaths, and both directly and indirectly responsible for untold further suffering. Without British support, it has been reported that these jets would (eventually) have been unable to fly.

Is there an argument to be made that those backing the Starmer government, and those previously backing the preceding Tory government, are active supporters in the ethnic cleansing currently unfolding?

It is an argument, but I think a counter would be that for many of those people, the support or lack thereof for the current Netanyahu administration was a low or no consideration, so you could maybe use “inadvertently” as opposed to “actively”.

There are very few if any parties (other than independents) who are clearly and solely focused on 1 issue, with all others there’s a balance and you may find that you support “some” Labour or Tory policies, but not all. For transparency sake, I did one of those policy analysis tools pre election, and came out 40% Lib Dem, 30% Labour and 30% SNP.

You could also say that those working in the UK defence industry are supporting ethnic clensing, although of course a “rank and file” worker doesn’t decide who planes or bombs are sold to.

Generally speaking, foreign policy isn’t an issue that people in the UK consider important when voting.
