I didn't say it was beyond Trump and his election campaign team to murder their own supporters to win votes, I was just suggesting that - if for no other reason than to make it strategically lower risk from an election point of view - they would have been more likely to have chosen to fake his assassination in a way which didn't involve killing people.

I don't understand that argument though.

How do you conclude that pretending to shoot someone (who's in on it) but not really, at the same level as actually shooting people (who aren't in on it) dead?

I mean neither's good, but isn't actually killing people a LOT worse?

If they're going to pretend to shoot him in the ear, that's the miracle.

Not that other people who were actually shot like in the head and the gut died. That's not a miracle, that's just normal.

We shot this guy straight in the gut and he died.

We shot Donald in the ear, and he survived.

But FBI haven't exactly been great at this so far so wouldn't surprise me if this is also ballsed up

You forget just how mental the US is. A load of kids get shot dead in far more gruesome ways than Kirk died st Sandy Hook and Uvalde and barely a tear is shed by many on the right but if Janet Jackson flashes a breast she’s cancelled forever.

It’s all theatre and if killing an innocent person while pretending to hit Trump makes millions of potential voters think he’s Jesus then it’s worth the price. Kirk himself said that innocent peoples lives were worth being lost if it meant that guns could still be a right to bear.
