A migrant who was mistakenly released from prison and then re-arrested will be deported "this week", David Lammy has said.

Your'e hard.

The bloke was banging on the prison door begging to be sent home a couple of days ago.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't see the problem with what Lammy has said here.

Supermarkets up in arms over proposed hike to their business rates:

‘The boss of Tesco, Ken Murphy, has previously said that "enough is enough" on business taxes.

The UK's largest supermarket said the higher National Insurance rate had cost it £235m this year…’

Shocking. And in other news…

‘Tesco has upgraded its earnings outlook for the year, with expectations of full-year profits of between £2.9bn and £3.1bn.’
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morrisons is struggling big time.

Did you read the part where they sold their petrol stations for £2.5bn?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes. Did you read the bit about their primary issue being servicing the debt that a private equity firm dumped on them on buyout (which cost them about £700m last year) ?

Morrisons is one of six big supermarket chains in the UK. Would you like to discuss how well they are performing collectively?

People are going to say I’m lying but I actually know a manager of Morrisons hence the reason why I named them.

So go on, tell me how they’re doing.

If you say so

"Speaking from Wood Green police station in north London, Lammy, who is also deputy prime minister, said he will outline the terms of reference for a full independent inquiry into the mistaken release in Parliament on Monday.

Earlier, Sir Keir Starmer said an investigation into the mistaken release was under way, adding: "We must make sure this doesn't happen again."

We're so lucky to be from the UK and living in an era of peace and civilisation. Some of us might get rough deals along the way, but generally speaking it's such an advantage. The universe can be a cruel and merciless place, but we here have more shelter than most of those that ever get to draw breath do.

As a person that has widely travelled the world I find this to perhaps not be as true as you might think it is, or at least that things are changing as the more peaceful parts of the world continue to develop and improve living standards. Surprise surprise that these regions produce very few illegal immigrants.

Happiness and a good life is relative in any environment. You'd think poor Africans, Asians etc would be reproducing less, popping themselves off and drowning in stress and anxiety but declining birth rates, suicide rates, anxiety, stress etc are surprisingly higher in well to do countries.

In fact, it's an observation made throughout history and a factor in the collapse of nearly all great historical wealthy empires and their capital cities which had inevitably and predictably become melting pots of races and cultures from the regions the empires had conquered and were controlling.

IMO, the world now is about having money and expendable income. Simple as that. You could be in Honduras or Rwanda, UK or Canada, you're living the life and enjoying it if you have lots of expendable income and you're living hand to mouth like a rat if you have no expendable income. Traveling, trade, medicine and health across borders has become so easy that money and wealth makes the difference and makes anything you want accessible regardless of your location or country.

Other factors may include some people also prefer not having cameras watching them all their lives and living in nanny overpoliced regions with race and culture war problems and bars closing at midnight or even earlier, and sheet like that. If you have money vis a vis the cost of living in some countries? Every nation I've visited has regions that can compete with anything we have here or at least be sufficient. So if you have money you enjoy that without the shortcomings.

Point being, the world is your oyster and you can control your circumstances, go wherever and do whatever you want if you have the means and willingness. Of course you'd rather be poor in the UK or Japan than be poor in Honduras or Rwanda, so I also take your point.

Looks like he's very happy to be deported. Lucky escape for this type of individual that we'd rather deport them than jail them.

Everyone in his place of origin knows you can't go around trying to kiss and touching up underage girls and women without their consent so he has no excuse for his behaviour IMO.

He doesn't know fack all. He just masks his opinion or point as something he was told so that he can claim plausible deniability if it turns out to be repugnant somehow.
