The draw has been made.
Groups D and E look the most competitive. All 4 players look capable of getting through, with the two BDO players I would have picked to go furthest in them.
Scott Mitchell looks a good bet for best BDO given the draw.

I'm going to some darts tournament thingy today so won't be updating this. Feel free to comment though...
Glen Durrant beat Peter Wright 5-2 in yesterdays most notable game.
Barry van Peer produced the biggest shock, beating Simon Whitlock 5-4.
Robbie Green hammered James Wade 5-1.
MvG, Anderson, Barney and Taylor all started with wins.
Today sees yesterdays winners match up and the losers play each other.
Scotty Dog and James Wilson both get wins.
Menzies beat Whitlock 5-2
Durrant made it 2 from 2 with a win over Chuck.
Bunting beats Chizzy.
Darren Webster beat Mark Webster in a 9 dart shoot-out to progress.
Suljovic hammered Berry 10-2
Glen Durrant beat Chizzy 10-8. BDOs rep still going strong.
Michael Smith beating Gary Anderson 4-1 at the break.
Ando won the 6th leg with a 164 check, now leads 5-4.
6-4. Ando won all 5 legs of that section. Another break, Smith needs to do an Ando and regroup.
Tonight:
Michael van Gerwen v Steve Lennon
Raymond van Barneveld v Rob Cross
Phil Taylor v Darren Webster
Daryl Gurney v James Wade
The sooner Taylor retires the better. What an absolute waynker of a man. Despite all his talent and standing in the game he is still desperately jealous of mvg.
To do an interview talking rot again and start making noises about training Cadby to beat Mvg is so embarrassing. The truth is darts will flourish without him and he hates the fact that nobody other than his die hard fans will miss him. Has always come across as a totally despicable knobbb
Tasty looking quarter final line up:
Durrant v Wright, Suljovic v Anderson tonight.
Taylor v Gurney, MvG v Cross tomorrow.
Taylor absolutely smashed Gurney.
Cross ran MvG close, but ultimately it was MvG who won it.
Totally agree Ernie,
Taylor complained about Guerney looking at his shoes and MVG for his celebrations in the same sentence. What are you supposed to do then?
But he did play amazing, if he plays like that again, he will take some stopping.
Great to see Mighty Mike obliterate that ungracious, condescending, lying t..t.
So happy to see Taylor go out, where’s his interview, I want to see that interview.

Me too mate. They have been playing his little talking head bits, one about how a man asked him his name at a working mans club when he was a 10 year old and as all 10 year olds do Taylor gave first and surname to the old man who then allegedly told him ‘you’ll be the best player in the world one day’. Now perhaps that happened but with no world championship even considered and darts not televised for another number of years I choose to see it as a total Christmas fairytale that he has no qualms about passing off as real.
MvG 4-3 ahead in the final.
Lots of big finishes here. Three ton-plus for Wright, 2 for MvG
10-9 to Wright at the moment, MvG has the darts.
