Wouldn't say Delph has been any better than either Young or Shaw on the left. Of course when Mendy returns he should give City more balance.

Better than shaw, not young. Though mendy should be well above them all.

Shaw gives us better defensive cover than Young and doesn't give away the ball as much. He also has done alright combining with Martial in front.

Young has been better offensively, primarily with his crossing and a couple goals.

Nobody put 4 past us yet. Defending well as a team,bit more unpredictability with Sanchez up top as well.
The sound I hope I’m hearing is progress.

Shaw is pretty decent defensively but offers almost nothing in attack. Young is a better passer, dribbler and has an excellent cross on him, we look far more dangerous with him in the team.

He does, just not in a direct way where he's whipping in crosses. He's more like Evra (not as good) in that his link up play with the offensive player ahead is good and his movement and pace gives them space to attack. I think the way players like Martial and Sanchez like to cut inside on the left suits Shaw.

I'm hoping Shaw can continue getting games as it should see improvements to his game.

He just doesn’t have enough about him. We could do a lot better than him. Sure, he might get space when martial cuts in, but he does almost nothing with it. Imagine what we’d be like with mendy there?

I wouldn't really know as he's only really had 1 good season so far. If Shaw can get fit for a long period, get his confidence up and play to his ability and continue to improve he can be a very good player for us.

only lukaku, mata, jones and smalling would get a look in at city (or chelsea for that matter)

and not sure if any one of them would be a shoe in.

I have similar run ins with my kid brother, and there is not a lot i can argue with. Getting embarrassing.
