Btw I posted this to the Spurs and City board because with a few notable exceptions (eg Salah) I think most qualifying players will come from these two teams x

I’ll kick off with the GK then.

Ederson - Totally re-invented the position. May not be the best shot stopper yet but he’s an irreplaceable asset

I don't know Spurtle that looks like 2 wingers or do you qualify one of Sterling or Salah differently? X

DDG - Saving at levels unheard of this season, comfortably ahead of the rest of the pack

Valencia - Nobody has really made this position their own this season, I put him there by default
Christiansen - Been a revelation and probably Chelsea's best player this year
Vertonghen - Been ever present in a heavily injured defence, one of the most underrated players in the league
LB - I actually have no clue

Kante - Tough one this as its his worst season for a while, I don't think anyone has made this position their own this season so he gets it by default
KDB - PotY so far
Silva - Was my PotY before the unfortunate tragedy

Salah - Been unreal
Kane - Same
Hazard - Carried a very poor attack all season

I would argue Salah is playing more inside-forward than people think. Saw an interesting comparison to Griezmann which I think you can draw a lot of comparisons to

I was using Salah as the support striker, who could swap with Kane during the match.

I agree even though started the season as a winger, but since then he's played a more fluid central role x

Robertson has only played 14 PL games, Alderweirled 10. You can't include either imo.

Possibly Ashley Young for best LB. What an underwhelming season it has been for LBs.

Kash - which of Salah, Hazard or Srerling do you think is aan attacking midfielder, as opposed to either a wing-firward or inside-forward? X

Edinspur - I'd say Delph has out-performed Young but I recognise my own bias there x

I'd be tempted to say the same as well but wasn't sure how City fans felt about his performance. Seems to be good in possession but nothing special defensively?

Wondering why Hazard has so few assists, given how much of an important and creative player he's seen as? He only has 2. That is a really low amount.

Doesn’t help when Morata can only score from deep goals with his head and they have no other attacking players

Edinspur - early on he was a revelation, and solid in his defensive role but he's been injured recently and early performance oft slip the mind x

I am also inconvinced by Hazard's inclusion, I think this is a choice made by reputation.
If people are choosing hims a winger over Sterling or Salah I think that's wrong.
If they are choosing him as an inside-forward/support-striker, I think there are a lot of players ahead of him this season including Firmino x

De Bruyne?
I'd be interested in hearing that argument x

I would put Fernandinho over Sterling in that team to provide better cover for the back four to be honest.

I can understand that being part of it, but even Morata has more assists than him.
