Come on boys we need this one!

We were always going to drop points and lose matches in the second half of the season, despite our good start. I would have preferred Bennett and Saiss to have started against Villa and hope they are included in this game.

A couple of home wins will certainly settle the nerves of those who are beginning to pee their pants.

I suspect you will get your wish but I would be surprised if Bonatini gets another start on Tuesday. Maybe he will go for Afobe but I suspect he will start with
Ruddy
Bennett Coady Boly
Doherty Douglas
Saiss Neves
Costa Cavaleiro Jota

Massive disappointment on Saturday with the result and second half performance, but the Leeds game was fine and this week we have two games against teams that probably aren’t as good as Leeds. Plenty of arguments for changes to the team from Saturday but not many after the Leeds game and we need to focus on what happened at Leeds not at Villa and make sure we are 6 points better off by Saturday night

Reflecting on recent defeats, it strikes me that both Villa and Fulham pressed us high up the field, put pressure on us as we were playing out if defence. In defensive situations when we needed to get the ball away from our box, we failed and got punished. Its one of those things that comes with experience, knowing when to play out and when to welly it.

Stadium plans are a further statement of ambition. However Im not sure we need Bernabeu 2 in Wolverhampton !

I think talks of extending the stadium are just good positive vibes to let supporters know the club is going in the right direction. We are regularly filling the current stadium now so there is no doubt we could fill a bigger stadium for a lot of the Premier League fixtures. Seems like the easiest next stage of expansion is making the South Bank bigger and filling the corners in. That would take the capacity up to about 37,000. Then if we start filling that regularly we can do something else

It's not really getting my wish Gem, it's more like, play your best team. Your selection is what I'd go with as those front three move around up front and we've done well when they've been together.

I warned about Batth losing his head and he got a yellow card. When a defender get's one that early, it affects his game from thereon and makes him think twice before committing himself to any tackles. He had a poor game and rightly should be dropped. I had had high hopes for Batth, but it appears that he's just an average Championship player and as such should be moved on in the summer. Saiss, by the way, would have made us more defensive in such an important away game and having scored against Leeds, was surprised he was the central midfielder dropped.

Still, let's move on and hopefully get back to winning ways against Reading and Burton. 6 points from those games will put us back in the driving seat.

I agree that the better teams do make things harder all over the pitch, and there is much more emphasis nowadays on what teams do when they don’t have the ball. I watched the Man City v Chelsea game on Sky recently and the work City put in to get the ball back in Chelsea’s half was quite incredible and a big factor in them winning the game. I actually thought one of our big faults on Saturday was that we stepped back off the Villa defence in the second half with our front three playing deeper, and that meant Villa were much more comfortable building their attacks than they looked in the first half.

But I don’t think we should beat ourselves up about losing away to decent teams like Villa and Fulham. We thrashed Leeds last week and the games we have thus week and upcoming against Hull, Blues and Sheff Wed will be much more like the Leeds game than the Villa game. You don’t have to win every match to get promoted

True, any of us would have taken this position at the start of the season. Top with 10 to play. No need to panic.

Nice to see Barry Douglas get a Scotland call up for their upcoming friendlies against Costa Rica and Hungary. Not sure he'll get ahead of Robertson of Liverpool, who has been outstanding this season.

I'm sure Saiss will be on duty for Morocco and I wonder how many of our players will be selected for the Portugal squad.

Here’s hoping QPR have a good week. They are at Villa on Tuesday and at Fulham on Saturday. Come on you R’s

Cardiff have a tricky week with away games at Brentford and Derby.

I know we have it in our own hands to win the league still and the team has to concentrate on its own performances and not look for favours from elsewhere...

But as fans it must be about time Villa and Cardiff dropped a few points and let us all relax just a little bit?!?

Really rare for four sides to be going into the last 10 games all with a reasonable shout for top 2.
