De Ligt Is the Young CB at Ajax (Played in the last 2 dutch games) & James Maddison is the young forward at Norwich. Plays for the England U-21s

Sessegnon isn’t a left back really and Maddison isn’t a forward.

I would be pretty happy with that, but there's a few issues. Firstly, who we sell Toby & Rose to. I'm firmly against us strengthening any of our rivals by selling them our best players. I will be absolutely livid if Toby goes to a PL top six rival, totally unacceptable IMO.

Also, Maddison to my knowledge is an attacking midfielder not a forward? Regarding De Ligt I haven't really seen him so can't comment, I've heard good things and our track record of signing from Ajax is good so in principle yes.

Crazy to strengthen opposition. Bad enough Walker going to City but Toby to United would be a travesty of football common sense.

thanks.

sounds like the kind of profile of player we are usually (and rightly so) interested in.

however, we should also look to compliment that kind of signing (and sess) with a finished product player. squad is strong though, so not sure what position that would be for.... possibly an attacking mid if lamela moves on, but I don't think he will... and we still have Moura who really has been bought for next season, and I think we all agree will be class.

I don't know enough about this Maddison and De Ligt.

It certainly looks good for another top 4 finish, barring we settle into our stadium ok, and aren't hit hard with injury problems. I mean under Poch, providing the team isn't changed too drastically, top 4 always looks good now. The question is whether it gets us closer to winning the PL/CL? Then again our team today should have got further in the CL, as we all know.

I agree but if a 45mln offer & 200K a week for the player is the best /only offer out there and it happens to be from United then that's where he will go. We got ourselves into this mess by putting in the release clause. The reality is that Toby is older, slower and has suffered longer spells out injured now compared to when he joined us. Granted he's a great player but his best days are behind him. We are not in a financial position to dictate who we sell too. The simple & easier option would have been to address our wage ceiling 12-18 months ago and get players like him extended for another couple of years without the need to have committed to him for the next 5 !

Lose Toby to say United, and we may have to bridge a gap on them as well as City. We shouldn't be fixing any of our rival's problems out for them.

I'm sorry but it's time for a big signing this summer. A signing that will push us on and hopefully compete with City for the title next season. We are pretty much dead certs for the CL again next season and have the new stadium revenue. Absolute no excuse now not to go out and make a big signing that will push us up a new level. I would go all out for Gareth Bale and bring him back. I think this is the sort of signing that would make people take notice and I think he would thrive in a pochettino team.

And totally agree, Selling Toby to a rival in the prem is suicide. We either pay him what he wants or we f*** him off to PSG, end of story.

erm its not really the end of the story though... just because you agree a fee with PSG doesnt mean he has to go there.

I personally don't think Bale would suit our style of play, Martial would be more suited. By no means am I saying Martial is better than Bale, just saying that he would suit our style of play more.

If we can afford to pay Bale why would we get rid of Toby & Rose?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's true, may sound ridiculous to others but I would rather keep Toby than sign Bale

I love Bale but you are out of mind if you think Darth is gonna pay 80+Mln and 250K In wages for Bale when he's always injured playing in a much less combative league than the prem

Diamond, I'm just giving my opinion mate. I know full well Levy won't pay the required dollar to push us on a new level, but I'm just saying to push on further, we need a big money signing simple as. If we want to improve like Poch keeps saying and start winning trophies every season, we need to start making too signings. Gareth bale for me would be the big stellar signing we should make

Llorente, Vorm and Toby will all leave in the summer and go abroad (hopefully in Toby's case).

Rose - not sure who would want him and who we could replace him with.

Can see us signing an unknown CB, LB and forward in the summer. That's it.

Happy with the squad as it is if we didnt get rid of Toby and Rose who can be fit and back to their best next season. With the addition of a forward who could also get game time out wide, if we were greedy maybe a creative player too, for CM/CAM.
