Rings of Power couldnt have a good story despite being based on some actual Tolkien stuff

I dont hold out much hope for a good season 2 with 0 source material from James Clavell

Yeah but Tolkien had previously had maybe the best ever adaptation of fictional books in those original 3 movies

I think Rings of Power was always doomed precisely because they had to write their own dialogue and plots

Sanada will return as a producer too, which does placate some of my concerns. They can also pull from actual history during that era, in order to add battles or wars.

This is the only hope it has as well. Great writers still exist. The producers just have to find them.
