I knew it was Kang when we saw Majors, also he mentioned he was from the 31st century which is where Kang is from.
Kang is the villain in Ant Man 3. Presumably this will be a more minor variant that they defeat in one film.
I got excited every time I said Kang there
Ok, so Kang, has no superpowers, he’s just a dude, but can mess with time and is super smart.
So multiple versions of him, battled each other for supremacy, but the one Kang that survived was a good guy of sorts or not?
He's supposed to be a descendant of Reed Richards but I don't know if that's ever been made official
Watched first episode of Loki but was very tired so didn’t stick with it.
Haven’t watched Black Widow yet, which I’ve heard very good things about.
Are both must-sees to us Marvel fans?
Kang for me should probably be a "Phase" boss, ending possibly with the next avengers, rather than an arc boss like thanos imo.
Galactus should be the next big boss, with f4 coming from an alternate universe where Galactus destroys earth or something, to give the characters a fresh spin.
Of course the multiverse also means that we could see old enemies pop up again, as well as new versions of old heroes.

My question is this, does the events of Loki now open the doors for mutants and the X men to appear in the universe and more importantly, does this allow the MCU to bring back different iterations of former characters, like Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor etc. They could recast Iron Man and have him exist in a new timeline?
The What if series also now makes sense because it will probably showcase the different timelines and realities that Loki has created.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think RDJ is done with MCU. Also as much as I’d love him back, it would take away the impact of his death in EG. Something tells me though that Cap has already had run ins with the TVA that we just don’t know about yet so hopefully he will be back.

Only must see thing in Black Widow is the post credit scene. The movie was ok for what it was but doesn’t really add much to the MCU storyline
I'll be disappointed if they don't do Secret Wars now. Seems all ready to set it up at some point in the future.
think it will be years (if ever) that we see X Men in the MCU. Like they kind of doubled down on them not appearing any time in WandaVision when Quicksilver turned out to be Ralph Boner and no sign of Magneto in Wanda’s past
Wasn't there going to be a sequel to Logan? Showing us what happened to all the kids?
I don't really want the X-Men in the MCU.
It just doesn't make sense to suddenly have mutants all over the place.

The X men are 100% coming but probably in 5+ years. Not using the X men would be like marvel not using Spiderman. These are iconic characters.
I thought Black Widow was ok. I wasn't expecting anything great as the time period and the character isn't one that I have a large amount of interest in but for a female standalone movie, I preferred it to Captain Marvel. Also, the supporting cast were terrific.

Yep agreed on the phase villain bit. I think Kang will be the main phase 4 villain and then the last movie of the phase, fantastic four, will introduce Dr Doom, who will then become the phase 5 villain and then I think Galactus in phase 6 or 7.

I think many, including myself have said that we would prefer a separate X men universe but the events of Loki now pave the way for them.
Different timelines have been created and what if the earth we once knew, is now full of mutants.
That makes the most logical sense but X men aren't due for at least 3-4 years, so it would be premature for the events in Loki to suddenly create mutants.

Agree
As I said earlier, it doesn't really make sense for the fantastic 4 to just pop up, and I'm not sure we need another cosmic energy accident movie..
Bring them in from an alternate timeline. Where earth was destroyed.
In relation to Black Widow, I've read some people criticise how they handled taskmaster and red guardian but If I am being candid, I have no idea who those characters are
Speaking of red, I need to see Omega Red in the MCU at some point. In fact, add Mr Sinister, The Hellfire Club and Sabretooth to that list. OK I'm going to go and watch the X men animated series now
Finally was able to watch Black Widow.
Enjoyed it, was as I expected but entertained me. Harbour and Pugh are great. Though the credits scene was spoiled for me on another site.
Agree that mutants just complicates MCU too much
Any omega level mutant immediately gets the 'where the fk were you when Thanos.....' treatment
So I watched the Avengers cartoon, specifically 3 eps that introduced Kang. Was pretty good actually. Would’ve lapped that up if that was done back in the day. Yeh, he seems pretty powerful.
You were led to believe he had killed the Avengers, and in Starks last throw of the dice, initiated the New Avengers protocol, which brought in Spider-Man, Wolverine, Luke Cage, The Thing from FF, and Ironfist.
Cos it’s like 20 min Eps, they rushed the end, where Spider-Man brings back the original Avengers, and all the others just disappeared back to their own timelines.
No goodbye…
Only 2 seasons, so might give this a binge.
I forget which cartoon it is, but Peter Serafinovic voicing Kang was pretty epic.
Have you watched the whole thing. It seems pretty well done. And I did like that story arc.
Not seen too much of that cartoon tbh
Ah it was a Lego game that he voiced Kang in. I distinctly remember the voice, just brilliant.
Ah ok. I think this is called Avengers Assemble.
Came out in 2013.
