Titanic isn't overrated though, it's a routine butt of jokes and only teenage girls from the 90s are prepared to say they like it.

It's a bit like slagging off Coldplay, it's not risky - it's the default stance these days.

I disagree, people think it’s a good film. And they also haven’t seen Titanic 2.

I don't think many do - if anything it's now underrated.

James Cameron is the rich man’s Michael Bay.
But also, can stand along side George Lucas as a beast of a visionary.
He is a genius, no doubt. Legend of the game.
But I always felt his films were over-rated.
When you deep it, his films are flawed. T1 -T2 remain my favourites if his though. Bonafide classics.

Titanic is my best mates favourite film

I am not with Stringer on that - Cameron's writing can be clunky but as a director he is close to a genius, and Aliens and The Abyss are legitimate masterpieces, alongside the first two Terminator movies.

You right NPE, it’s the clunky dialog that lets him down.
But besides Terminator 1&2 I don’t feel the urge to rewatch his films.

I have rewatched the first two Aliens movies a lot more than Terminator but each their own

I am also aware first Alien film is directed by Ridley Scott before somer smart alec jumps in

Avatar isn't an outstanding film in terms of re-watches, or its generic storyline, but as someone who really enjoyed 3d in the cinema my first watching of Avatar remains one of my favourite cinematic experiences..
