James Wan has done well with Aquaman but I'd need to see Aquaman 2, before I support him doing a Justice League movie.

I wouldn't even be against Patty Jenkins directing a JL movie even if WW84 was a shlt show. Just don't let her write the thing.

Patty Jenkins for Superman would be interesting.

As for Justice League, I'd go JJ Abraham.

I think JJ Abrams is awful, wouldn't go for him for anything.

Has never made a great movie imo, and all his films are teases for riddles that are never satisfyingly solved.

I'd be more interested in JJ Abrams than unknown director JJ Abraham.

Patty Jenkins for Superman does sound very interesting though. That must have been talked about already at WB you'd imagine.

True. I do think though that Silver Age Reeves style Superman won't get by on seats anymore.

My sad black pill view on Superman is he is too intrinsically good and noble for audiences to relate to.

Captain America is a goody-goody, but he was (prior to the MCU) a B-lister at best, arguably C-list.

If you did a vox pop on Reading high street in 2005 say, of 100 people. 100 would know Superman, a couple might know Captain America.

This meant that they could modernise his image with no baggage of legacy fans saying 'Not my Captain' etc.

You're talking to someone who watched the original (and terrible) Captain America movie when it came out in the early 90's. Nobody I've ever talked to since has seen it so I know all about Captain America being a virtual unknown before the MCU came along lol.

The only thing worse than that Captain America was Red Skull
