The flash was good in season 1,2 and 3. After that is was just diabolical. To be fair I haven't watched it for ages.
Last thing I remember was his daughter who's character was pathetic.
The stretchy guy, same thing, and Wally who was also lame.
The show was at its peak very early on, with reverse flash, zoom, and savitar was ok.

An easy way to fix the Flash going forward I guess would have something happen to Barry Allen off screen, be it death or he gives up the mantle, and then you can have the recast actor be Wally West
Replacing Ezra isn't the issue. It's replacing him without hurting the quality of the movie.
They could easily shoot another scene where a new Flash arrives from a different reality and he takes the Flash mantle. I guess you could say Ezra was killed off screen at that point.
Variety are reporting that The Batman 2 doesn't actually yet have the official greenlight from Warner Discovery which does put a slight question mark over it sadly:

Presumably this puts a question mark over Colin Farrell's Penguin spinoff happening too as it certainly won't go ahead if The Batman 2 doesn't.
I think they should at least let Matt Reeves complete his trilogy like Nolan was allowed to do, especially as The Batman was a very good Batman movie. It would be so messy and weird to have just one Batman movie made and left in limbo forever.
