The gap this season is far greater than that of last season make no mistake about that.
Celtic could never have hit the same level of consistency and I genuinely believe Rangers are worse with absolutely no sign of any progression at all.
Ahead of the curve my rse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Our number of goals scored is a huge improvement on last year. Bar the freak results of Celtic losing to Hibs and Aberdeen, rangers would have finished 2nd, so clearly even under inexperienced management, Pedro and murty, our squad is far better than last year.
6 or 7 sensible signings and ship out 10 or so dead wood or transfers out such as foderingham and windass etc, should put us in a stronger position again for next year.

Wait. What???
You are saying that Rangers have contributed to other teams improvement against Celtic. This is by Rangers not improving themselves or playing any more games?
--------------------------------------------------------
I am saying that if the opposition has improved then if we had just stood still in terms of relative quality then we would have conceded more points than the previous season.
But we never. We kept up with or exceeded the general improvement in standard in the league this year (that is inferred by celtic dropping so many points).
And the reality is Aberdeen are just about the same, Killie and Hibs have improved that standard and on their day hearts showed improvements.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you never contributed to other teams playing better v Celtic? It was hee haw to do with your team and more to do with other teams playing better against Celtic
Haven't you got a DUFC article to prepare for Championship football next season?

Doesn't matter how it happened Foddy, the point is it closed. For the gap to close it needed 2 things to happen, for Rangers to get more points and get better and Celtic to deteriorate. That's what happened and as such the gap closed significantly.
There is still an evident quality gap between the 2 teams on a head to head basis. No question. But over the course of a season the gap closed significantly. Rangers don't need to be better than Celtic to win the league, that's only 4/38 games in a league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This type of factual logic does not compute in the warped Celtic brain.
Can we sign Logan from Aberdeen. I like his attitude!

Another thing I am really looking forward to next season is the Celtic champions league performances.
Is there any hope of improvement on 7-0 and 0-5 in the group stages? Are Celtic going to close that gap?
All is good Gerrard and the DOF are signing gems like Arfield, McGregor, Hutton etc.
Worrying times for the hoops..........

As obsessed as it gets
Neither McGregor or Hutton have signed and I doubt Hutton will be back.
Thankfully, looks like Russel Martin is staying. That’ll help the gap.

Brendan is a 'pyure brilliant manager so he is though'. He's revolutionising the game, just like Pep. St Brendan is his real name and rightly so, thankfully the Scottish media keep telling us how amazing he is. It's probably next year that Celtic will win the CL. Other teams wont cope with the Brendan managerial masterclass this time around. Those Euro results clearly showed Celtic have improved under him. They were part of his plan to lull them into a false sense of security for the following season. That's how tactically amazing he is. Genius, is too small a word for him. I mean invincibles and double treble, breaking all the records, best Celtic team ever clearly, the records being broken speak for themselves.

These Tim posters saying we need a manager of Rodgers ilk.
The same Rodgers who got less points than a Norwegian lion impersonator.
