Is this the time of year that the Gers fans try to convince themselves that the team just needs a wee bit of tweaking.

-------------------------------------------------
Nope.
IMO we need a much stronger spine to the team.
Two strong CB's and a decent back up.
A fit midfield plus maybe one more strong playmaker type CM would give us 7 to pick 3 from in CM.
Another wide option.
And two further attackers if Herrera goes and Cummings option isn't taken up.
And a LOT of dead wood to ditch.
So plenty of work to do IMO.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Plus a LB and a RB
looks like we are getting a Keeper too.
Is Arfield a 10? CM or a LW? Transfermarkt as him down as LW

So you never contributed to other teams playing better v Celtic? It was hee haw to do with your team and more to do with other teams playing better against Celtic
--------------------------------------------------------
The fact celtic dropped more points is to do with the general quality improving in the league.
The fact Rangers got closer to celtic was that we improved and overcame the general improvement in the league.
So over the season we contributed to the gap closing significantly by dropping much fewer additional points against improved teams than celtic did.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So no you never contributed to the other teams doing better v Celtic

The fact that we narrowly missed out on second place given the mental season we had says a lot about the league we're in.
It also says the gap is not this gaping chasm that Celtic fans like to think it is.
Rangers couldn't have been more dysfunctional for more than half the season. Add injuries to that and next season could be very different.

----------------------------------------------------
Again no.
But we contributed to closing the gap on Celtic by improving significantly.
That is all I was saying.
It was said that we only contributed to the closing of the gap by 3 points.
Which is nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely it’s nonsense
You contributed nothing to the gap closing other than winning one more game over a whole season
Last season you drew one game with us and this season you drew one game with us so you did no better in a comparison of the two teams
Aberdeen however improved v us

‘It was said that we only contributed to the closing of the gap by 3 points.’
Did you get 3 more points than last season, or was it more?
So we improved by not dropping the additional points you did against improved opposition
*************
So you didn’t improve or regress
Glad we got there in the end

‘But the gap isn't just determined by our points total.’
It is according to some of your fellow bears.

McGregor signed official
------------------------------------------------
Rumours of a £3m deal for Wes agreed.
--------------------------------------------------
Cracking business if that is the case.
I don't think there much between Foderingham and Alnwick and McGregor is better than them both, so an upgrade and 3m in the kitty would be fantastic business.
Foderingham could leave with his head held high too, served us well and a likeable character
