Happy with Goldson, without his Heart issues in the past he would be costing a lot more.
I'm not worried about his fitness or his Heart condition, as he's had an operation, his issue is fixed. He would have had some of the best medical advice from top cardiologists. There's no way he wouldn't have gotten the all clear to play in the Premier League otherwise, So am I concerned? Not in the slightest, I'm happy with this one. Think he will do really well for us.
As for Windass, every fan is frustrated for sure as he has talent. But I think fans think he's wasting it or is lazy.
He honestly at times looks world class. The way at times he strikes a long range shot at is unbelievable. He has ability to glide past players, like they aren't there at times also.
The only problem is 80% of the other time he is the invisible man and may as well not be in the team. During these periods, he contributes less than fluck all. That's what's frustrating. That's why if he was sold, I wouldn't care.
I'm hoping Gerrard can make him a worker. I know that's what Gerrard likes in teams, so if Windass doesn't work, he'll be off.
I know that's what Gerrard likes in teams

Because he outlined it in an interview.
I like windass, he is probbaly the most talented player at the club. I said the same at the start of last season and think we should keep hold of him again.
He is so often played out of position, but tottally agree he could do more off the ball.
Most of the games however where people criticise him for doing nothing you could probably make the same accusation for the rest of the team.
I'm wary about his heart conditions, but every time I saw him play a couple seasons back he always looked a decent centre half. If he can stay healthy, he should be better than any centre half we've had since Bougherra left.
No interest in the Liverpool lad at all. Would rather we gave our own youth prospect a run out.

Is he fack world class at times 😂😂

Two keywords in that post were - 'at times' Curly, those 'at times' can include a world class long range strike of the ball or a dribble. It means for a time period.
Deary me, you are getting as bad as the Tims as reading what you want to read, rather than what is written.

interesting that smid, because i recall windass having a great game against motherwell and ppl raving about it but when they asked pedro he said he saw things he needed to improve (tracking back) which i actually thought was a decent interview
looks like he is being asked to do different things.

"I actually think the reason Windass gets so much stick is because even his haters will admit they rate him. Only a player with evident ability and quality would get the stick he does because fans can see a player who is capable of more."
Probably my view on him.
There's a player in there, but he just doesn't show it enough.

He's 24, will be 25 next season.
He needs to deliver consistently this season, he's a man not a boy, he needs to realise that and the responsibility it entails both on and off the park.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He is a big kid at heart mate and not very bright into the bargain lol
I have seen a few really funny clips of him
Half a season of short shifts as a sub should be enough to teach him how to stay in a game and with better leaders around to guide him can only be good for the club = £££ or goals

I definitely think there is a player in there with Windass. You could tell after an anonymous first season that there was definitely much more to come from him.
He has kicked on without doubt last season. It was a massive improvement from him over the piece.
But as folks have said it is clear he is capable of doing much more. He seems to switch off mentally for periods in games and totally disappear. And his decision making in the final third is pretty erratic.
I would be tempted to cash in just because we could do with the dough in other areas of the team and we need a more reliable option in that position. Maybe it is short term-ism but I think we have a ready made replacement in Arfield who always seemed to work his socks off pretty much non stop when I have seen him.
£3m with a decent sell on clause for Windass would be value. He is one of those players that will either go on to plod around the Championship/League 1 and frustrate folk wherever he goes or the penny will drop and he will develop into a £10m+ player.
He certainly has the tools and the potential - but right now there is something missing with him.

Stevie G will sort him out
i dont think he will ever be a 90 minute player, best you can hope for is a rogic.
he's a clever player though, i think he would be very interesting playing behind a front 2.

why if he's not capable of playing for 90 minutes he shouldn't be in the side, he's what 22/23

Rogic has been far better and the 60 minute thing is imo a thing of the past,
he doesnt last a full game often but i can think of a few last minute winners he's pulled off.
he does tire tho and sometimes he looks knackered, but you would take him every day of the week for those moments he has.
best signing we have made this year.
