And again you’re still not getting it. Any exclusivity that isn’t due to the platform but the developer isn’t a good thing for consumers, it doesn’t matter if one has more or better, as they still only lose on the whole. They are already.
The only time that differs is if there’s a platform differential and that becomes less likely not more if more developers are bought.
Stop seeing everything as a competition between the two and particularly from their perspective.

If they then allow developers to release to both platforms.
There's no argument that consumers don't miss out, as the only thing that happens is you've got less titles available for both. Any exclusive is a game someone else can't play - from a consumer perspective, that should only happen if the platform is substantially different to warrant it (such as Nintendo).

I agree Amiga, I want that to go to developers from publishers without feeling the need to buy them or tie them in and the publishers to concentrate more on their specific offering. That's what should be the differential.
Im at the stage where I just want to play something different! Hoping Ghosts might be that.
The Xbox E3 was good and all, but mainly sequels. I doubt the new studios will churn out anything brilliant in the near future.
Im always cautious with any Sony e3 announcements or advertising. Im old enough to remember the year Sony's whole conference was lies and fake game footage. 2005 I think?

It may not have been 2005. But, it was the E3 showcase for the PS3. Sony claimed the game demo reel was all in game and everything featured would release on the PS3. Turned out it was pre-rendered and none of the games were ever released in that state.
They made over outlandish statements... like to would be full HD, 60 frames etc. That is would be backward compatible. But it was all false. It seemed they rushed the show without ever really knowing what the pS3 would eventually be.
