Disappointing, but imagine the cost of Vydra on top of Hernandez would blow a large amount of the budget on two strikers.
We need more than just Hernandez, as he's injury prone and wont play 46 games.
hes said that from the first second the vydra story broke.
we never been getting both.
gotta be hernandez for me - much cheaper.
vyrda not a striker either.
Vydra had a very good season last season, would be inclined to go for the one who isn't so injury prone. Where does he play? 10 role?
pretty sure hes been the 10 behind, nugent or jerome.
when your talking what 10-12m that derby want and wages - thats a decent size deal.
abel - can chuck him a few mil up front goldenshake and surely save millions compared.
clearly keeping hernandez fit for a whole season is the major worry with him.
Do the maths, A player worth £10m for free with a high wage means the same as a £5m player on a high wage due to the transfer fee. We never get more than a £3m player on a low wage, so this is a massive step up in ambition.
paying £8m minimum for Vydra who is also on £30k per week is lower prem fee and wages, nobody can do that without doing what Derby, Wendies and Villa have done and that means getting in financial trouble. I'm happy getting someone of the quality of Hernandez and pairing him with Tyler Roberts and see how that works.
If the Reading story is true and we sell Roofe for £7m then Vydra could still be on
I like Vydra
But why does he keep getting dropped
Seven mill for Roofe 😂😂😂😂
We would struggle to get our money back for him
When he plays up front, he does well does Roofe. No where neare 7m though. Someone might pay it though!
they paid 8m for sone aluko last year.... but yeah i agree 7m seems very unlikely.
This is conceding defeat already and that kind of mentality will see us playing in this division for much longer. A team out size should be able to sign more than one marquee player ffs.
Roofe is worth 2 mil I'd say. Been OK for us
£7m seems a lot but there are some stupid chairmen out there.
Just seen a tweet that Hernandez offered £33k a week at Galatasaray and chose us instead for £40k.
Suppose we will be saving a few quid when some players move on.
Also players back next Monday if Bielsa comes in this week.
Budget is exactly where people should expect it to be if they’d listened to AR.
49ers investment is for stake in club, not a donation towards transfer fees.
theres clearly some cash for some decent sensible signings.
dont know why exactly - but im just not convinced on vydra for that sort of cash.
Can see nothing to indicate Roofe is going, where is that from?
just some trashy internet rumour mate.
nothing concrete at all on it.

Doesn't mean we won't another marquee player in another position, rather than blow budget on strikers. We don't have endless money to spend.
Providing we do get Hernandez, he's going to be on a sizeable amount and will expect to be number 1 choice
Phil Hay only appears to be reporting that Graham Potter had signed to manage Swansea.
yup, were the only club without a manager in the league.
groundhog
if only Darko was still under contract and awaiting a call.....
Our squad needs Harry Potter
Stoke slashing the cash too.
yeah 7m on some random.
wonder if they gonna get the benik afobe deal over the line
Our squad needs Dirty Harry. Dirty Harry for Dirty Leeds.
Our forward line was shocking last year. Tyler Roberts plus a "marquee" signing and the youth coming through. Add in Grot or Ekuban and that Serie B superstar who averages a goal a season and we'll be laughing.
Haha...
