I agree you got a good result against a better Fulham side.
Well signs from his interviews seem like he would be happy to stay on but it's early days yet. Hopefully Levy will stump up the cash and Adebayor will take a wage cut
I suspect, like all players who come to Spurs, once they know they are loved by staff and fans, they will take wage cuts to be with us.
Look at Modric committing for 5 yrs to Spurs, at wages far below what he could get at say, Chelsky.

The flaw being that it was for 6 years
Who would sign such a contract when you know a "big" club like Chelsky could try to tempt you away ... ???
6, not 5 ??
Well slap my tippy typey fingers !!!
I think one thing that has become apparent since Adebayor and Parker started playing is the team really didn't need investment. People talk about spending and correlating that with ambition but the fact is we have a quality squad capable of competing, all we needed was a few tweaks. Sure there's still room for improvement but if you look at our squad minus injuries, it's bloody good!
As for Adebayor, after reading his interview in the sun and seeing him during our first few games, I can see him signing permanently and I would love it!
BennyCool :
The team needed strikers who were going to do the business. The futile four could (and did) not.
Whether twas the holy WC person, or a kid coming up and getting their chance, something was needed.
The MF (when fit) is more than enough for most opponents.
The back four + goalie needs some future planning.
@ Benny cool, no doubt mate but i still believe next summer we need to go out and splash money on a real top quality Centre back and Goal keeper. Friedal will be perfect for this season but he's 41 next year so a keeper is needed. Adebayor needs to be signed on a permanent aswell
Don, RDBD
You guys seem to echo the same sentiments. I Honestly think if we brought Adebayor in permanently, got a young keeper in and Samba or somebody we'd be as good as most teams. I'll admit I was as concerned as anyone at the lack of investment but today made me realise how keeping players is more important for us now.
Benny :
I love Levy for the fact that I can see he is trying to temper the future with the present (wage demands etc, squad etc) .
As I have stated, whether by accident or design, this year may be the one where several kids are accelerated thru the ranks, and that we find we already own quite a few more diamonds than the play of the past seasons suggested.
I know what you mean mate, this year has me excited about the club on a variety of fronts, our younger players for the first time in a long time are the centre of a focus that makes me optimistic about the future. For the first time, I'm ashamed to say I am taking a great interest in the youth side of our club.
BennyCool :
I am hoping to see some of the NextGen home games upcoming. After the non-performance of the futile four last year when we needed them to step up, I feel cleansed to somehow go and offer my support to the kids as they begin what could be a great future for the club.
If he scores 30 goals i'll give him my wages.
