Its not about Ozil not being good enough its his attitude that is the problem. The fitness of the side in the second half is a big concern.

Thought you were good today but yeh you are right pretty much the same, you've always been excellent going forward and poor defensively / weak mentally and it was the same today.

You are spot on though, Ozil is a complete and utter joke can't believe you pay him especially play him, he is just disgusting even in attitude trudging off the pitch looking angry, absolute joke of a player and a disgrace to the game.

To be fair we should have been 4-2 up in the first half considering the chances we missed but defensively a complete shambles.

Fitness wise we looked dead in the second half

You created chances but realistically Cech saved you on numerous occasions today. Chelsea looked like the effective Arsenal of a few years back today. Possession, fast flowing football. Arsenal need to learn quickly!

Totally. It takes time for a manager's ideas to be fully and effectively implemented by the team. 2 games is nowhere near long enough, of course we'll improve it just may take a few games before that happens and maybe a fair few more until we're consistent

Give it 5-7 games and see where you are? It's always tough to lose a couple on the bounce but it had been say Huddersfield and Leicester them maybe you should be worried, but it wasn't, perspective is required atm👍

I think it’s going to be a tough season ahead. The press is going to take time to bear fruit, as evidenced today with Chelsea getting in behind almost at will.

Hard to criticise emery for not showing any improvements almost immediatley imo. Tough season of adjustment this season and next season with a few shrewd purchases could be a decent one.

Although i don’t think emery is all that and i can’t see him leading arsenal back to the top. But he can at least progress arsenal over the next couple seasons.

2 games. Give it some time. Not exactly like we lost to 2 relegation teams either. Basically hardest start we could have had. Not sure many people are expecting top 4 anyway. I’d be happy if by the end of season we look improved, don’t lose away constantly and are in touch with top 4. Then we can build from there

Look at the stats. It looked better for you because your chances came in two spells but Chelsea had over 20 shots, lots on target, 64% possession and much of that attacking. I have no doubt Emery will make Arsenal better than today but good enough for top 4 I doubt. Chelsea more than deserved their victory today.

We are Arsenal ffs. Since when did we expect not being in the top 4 as being a good season.

If we don't get top 4 it will be a bad season. Just fed up in seeing all the other top clubs improving and investing while we regress

Castor you really don't understand our financial issues. We have a socialist wage system. That will take time to work itself out. And there are rules that stop us increasing our wage bill by more than £7m. Who did we sell on big wages? We just let Santi and Wilshere go to balance with Torriera, Leich and Sokratis coming in. Swapped Leno for Ospina.

Best thing Emery did was sub Ozil. I would sell him in Jan

We played counter attack in the second half. So stats can be very misleading.

I think both arsenal and cfc will get cut to pieces by quality sides.

Far too open, can you imagine any of Salah, Mane, Sane, Sterling and the fullbacks TAA, Walker etc ripping the flanks open.

Because its a change in playing style plus new players plus new manager I think its going to take at least 2 seasons.

Isn't there a massive contradiction here? Plus the fact our net spend over the last 5 years is almost £100m more than the 4th highest team, nothing suggests the board is starving the club of money.
