Winning trophies doesn’t matter to Liverpool.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Darren Guy, Liverpool are basically Arsenal before Wenger finally realised no one cares about FA Cup so he could aim to win that every year. They finish 4th, they win nothing, their fans get their hopes up every year only to get let down at the end. I dunno when the penny will drop like it did for the Arsenal fans, but it's bound to happen eventually.

Footballs about hope mate

Overall would you not say the last three and half years under Klopp have been more dissapointing/average than successful?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They've been great. A trophy would be the icing on the cake but ive enjoyed every moment of it so far.
There's much more to football than trophies. Otherwise why do say 50000 newcastle fans go to every game when they haven't won a trophy since the 60s?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You're never going to reach the next level unless you win trophies though and Klopp doesn't seem to either care about or be capable of doing that.
Has he taken Liverpool as far as he can I wonder.

Mate Klopp is great and we all like him and what he's done to the team.
He gets criticized often on here, we just dont all p1ss and moan all day cause Klopp is top notch and we like wayching us play.
Teams loste games. 3 defeats in the CL is poor but we can still qualify and have had our best start to a league season ever.
You're spending too much time arguing with United fans who are fed up of Jose. The way we feel about Klopp and the way united fans feel about jose is chalk and cheese.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah I agree the way Man Utd fans view Mourinho is totally opposite to the way you guys view Klopp. I just think he gets an easy ride for ultimately letting you guys as fans down. He hasn't delivered any success to you guys yet. Do you really not feel he should have done by this point?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He hasn't let me down. The last few years have been great watching us evolve under Klopp. Losing a CL final sucks but the ride was great craic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough, but I would have expected Liverpool to have won at least one cup and had improvement to their league positions over the last three years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been getting better in the league. If our front three click like they did last season, which they likely will at some point, then that coupled with our much improved defence should put us in a good position. Maybe not enough to win the league but we'll see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You've been fluctuating between 2nd and 3rd this season. If after 4 years Klopp's progress in the Premier League is to take Liverpool from 6th to 3rd then that'll be disappointing.

“He hasn't delivered any success to you guys yet.”
It’s a very fine line between success and failure. For example you could get to three finals and play City, Sevilla and Real Madrid and lose all 3. Or you could get to two finals against Southampton and play Ajax and fluke a win in one and win the other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a shame Liverpool lost to Southampton in the semi final or Klopp could have lost another final for his record, this time to Mourinho.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wish we had played a Mourinho side. His record against Klopp is shiiiiit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think we've gone through this haven't we. His record with Klopp is even if you discount the loss he had with Chelsea when the players had downed tools.

Well maybe the club asked Karius to go mental. Yeah that makes the most sense

Wouldn't compare us to Arsenal just yet. Arsenal got stick because they had done it for 10+ years, this is only our second season back in the CL after qualifying just once in 9 years.
If we're still content with only qualifying in a couple of years time then I think it'd be fair to compare.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. What has Klopp achieved compared to Guardiola? Nothing, not even 1/10. Why should he be under the same amount of pressure as Guardiola?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he's a top bloke and we're brilliant supporters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he may be a top bloke but he's not a top manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like him.

A little too much in my opinion, but yeah I guess.

Klopp should be under more pressure

Chelsea and City are the only clubs who really want to win stuff. And this is reflected on the pitch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's more likely that there are simply now 5 top teams all capable of playing high quality football and as such aspirations of winning trophies naturally has to be tempered.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is fun eh!

A lot of facts to support that opinion.

Hasn’t for Chelsea and City, though. Which is my point. The rest are happy to just pick up CL money.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's mixing opinion with fact.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For a club who hates trophies we put an awful lot of effort into the CL last year.
Well maybe the club asked Karius to go mental. Yeah that makes the most sense

----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have improved it though and the real barometer is points tally.
We're going really well in the league this season, it's great.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough knee dude. Would you say he has to win a trophy at any point or as long as the football's enjoyable that it doesn't matter?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope he does and do think he needs to cause we've spent allot and are now in a strong position to win something.
If he wins nothing it will be fair to say he ultimately failed but ill still be glad he came to us and as ive said I'm very happy with him so far.

Well then you're brainwashed, I'm sorry. There's no way that there isn't one Liverpool fan who agrees with me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not brainwashed, just sensible.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK, well enjoy not winning anything I guess

Wouldn't compare us to Arsenal just yet. Arsenal got stick because they had done it for 10+ years, this is only our second season back in the CL after qualifying just once in 9 years.
If we're still content with only qualifying in a couple of years time then I think it'd be fair to compare.

Interesting reading here:
https://www.thesackrace.com/next-premier-league-manager-to-leave
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is exactly what I'm talking about. What has Klopp achieved compared to Guardiola? Nothing, not even 1/10. Why should he be under the same amount of pressure as Guardiola?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he's a top bloke and we're brilliant supporters.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
he may be a top bloke but he's not a top manager.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A little too much in my opinion, but yeah I guess.
