The top 3 spots were turned on their head over a 4 game period, ain’t nothing over yet.
Also Europe and domestic cup progression will play apart

We can give a manager that time if they deserve it. Klopp was improving Liverpool year on year and his signings bar Karius have been spot on. If we gave Scolari for example the time and backing Klopp got we would have gone the way of Milan.

I'm happy to give managers time, but not for the sake of it.

Klopp is a good manager but for me the main/clear reason they’ve elevated themselves from 3rd/4th place team to title contenders on a level with City, is through proper, ruthless investment in their XI and squad. Got rid of players from their XI who aren’t good enough, the clear weaknesses. For us, this isn’t just striker, it’s also LB, and on the wing.

Tbf after a season or two of not winning the title it is more likely that teams like Liverpool (and maybe us this summer tbf) buy well, try and play catch up. We did it as well after 12-13, and won the title the following year.

On a side issue, if our board and fan base are patient enough, it's taken Klopp 4 years to get Pool to this point. Could we not give our Head Coach a similar amount of support?
---

To be fair, Klopp took over mid season and we were already struggling.

First season was well under way so that was more of a getting to know you period.

The real transition has taken place over the 3 full seasons he has been in charge.

But remember, Klopp had to sell his best player in order to recruit big.

It was equivalent to Sarri coming in and having to sell Hazard before getting you back to the top again which would be no small feat.

As for the title, there's over 50 points to play for. I think if we get to March and we've maintained a 7-10 point lead, I'd be very confident but as of now, we're 2 games away from it all crumbling.

Klopp had to abondon his principles of never buying players for the sake of winning the title, in order to propel Liverpool to the top

That's the story you won't get from Liverpool

When did klopp say he'd never buy players?

I don't think he abandoned anything. It was more a case of not having any other choice.

The Pogba fee changed the market. Any fool could see that.

Changed what market? Cost a manager his job

You're the fool if you think Pogba transfer changed the market?

The market was already full of clubs buying for the glory!

Look at City, your nearest rivals now. All buying for glory

What about the choice Poch made? Nurture and bring through young players?

Winks? Skipp? Foyth?

This.

Nowhere near over.

Some rival fans just want to create the narrative that the Liverpool fans think they've won it, or that the race is so far run that only Liverpool bottling it can stop them winning. I can imagine that s few have already drafted their LAL articles and have fingers hovering over the submit button

Don't agree, OP.

It isn't Liverpool's to lose. Specially if the gap is only 4 points after tomorrow?

Credit due to Liverpool to sustain the title race. But it's harder to stay at the top. I am sure Klopp knows that!

Of course it changed the market.

Whether it cost a manager his job is of no relevance.

What about it?

Klopp currently sits atop of the table.

Klopp has also put two young British lads at full back..

If we reach the end of the season and Poch wins the title then perhaps your point is solid but I have a feeling you lot will be spending their summer urging your club to buy big.
