I said he’s a good player. I never said he won’t go for a lot of money. I only said he’s not in the Dembele bracket.

Morelos is an uneducated 22 year old kid who came from a village in Colombia to play football Europe as a teenager.

He has to put up with all sorts of physical punishment on the park and has to suffer seeing things like professionally made banners which basically proclaim his mother to be a whoor from opposition fans.

He is a tough wee guy who seems to have the talent, drive and ambition to go far.

And I think he will go far. Whoever gets him, whether it is for £10m, £15m or £20m, will be buying goals and a future star.

I think the Spanish league would suit him best ultimately and it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see him scoring regularly in la liga in a few years time.

Gerrard played at a high level and thought that guy Sadiq could do a job. Players with great careers don’t always make good assessments of other players. I won’t put too much weight on what his fellow countryman has said-he’s hardly going to come out and say he’s scheidt.

I’ve no idea what point you’re trying to make?! I’m commenting on what Morelos is worth just now, not the future. We sold Van Dijk for £12 million was it?! I never thought for a second he would go for £70 million.

He may go on and have a great career. He may not. But I doubt teams will pay much attention to what Falcao thinks about him, or his record in the Scottish league.
