I think we're unrealistic at times. A lot of the games we play, teams just sit in and hope they don't concede. We overpay for a lot of the players we have either to attract them here, or to keep them. There's probably only a handful of teams who can manage to play exciting, attacking football in the majority of their games. No team manages it every game.

I don't think we should lower our standards, but I think we should accept more that the league we're in and the gap we have in resources means that we're in the main going to be up against teams that will be well organised against us, and bust a gut to get something from a club of our size.

I didn't have an issue with Rodgers trying to build our game from the back - but when our defenders look up and every other player has at least one man shadowing him so closely - what do you expect? It's how we've watched European teams play against us for years now - and then moaned that we can't control a game the way they do. If we want to improve in Europe, then we have to start somewhere. It was never something that was going to change overnight - although I'm not sure Rodgers would have ever got us to the level he probably thought he could get us to.

I think we'll lose a lot of the calmness and patience we had with Rodgers gone. Maybe the injured players coming back will help that.


As for being as boring as scheidt - first half of the season I thought we were poor, but since the winter break we've been much better. Rodgers going has put a spanner in the works for me - Lennon will be only concerned with results and performances will be secondary.


If you want style combined with winning every week, then you're not going to get it. There are very, very few teams around the world never mind in Scotland who can manage it.

90 Minute Cynic podcast mentioned it, sure retiral ages arent the same in football but as it seems he is getting closer to the age he might think about stepping down the more you would think he would want a decent manager to handle and deliver expectations?

Anyone hear the zoomer on SSB last night?

Rangers will hammer Aberdeen tonight, Celtic will bottle their last 9 games because of Lennon, Rangers the most successful club in the World will be celebrating at the end of the season.

I would hardly use SSB(they have about 5 callers they recycle)as an example of fans with rational views.
They are struggling badly for listeners so it's zoomer central.
Why anyone would listen voluntarily is beyond me

Why ?? Because when it suits us we firmly believe that the zoomer we are listening to is a carbon copy representation of every rangers/Celtic fan

Coont worked with me in Herald, now left.
A rangers fan until he married a tin, changed.I used to fookin leather him big time and was pretty vitriolic tbh.
How can you change your team ffs
