Mate, in Spain 10pm is about peak time for a dinner reservation.. the game kicks off at 9pm, doubt you'd be in a local hotel before 2am anyway.

Honestly as a business visit I was hungry for dinner, walked in at 7pm and the kitchen in this restaurant hasn't even opened, the chef was still due to arrive.

Sun will rise at 5am, so I wouldn't give a crap.

Also some of the Arabic institutions will be open until 5am anyway because of fasting pre dawn meals.

We are an hour outside of Madrid, with a car. Not sure I have any plans to drive it in on gamefay. Match is over an hour after the last train back to mine, so probably just makes sense to while away the wee small hours before the 6am train.

I know enough folks going that there'll be a floor for me for a few hours if needed.

Hope this talk of separate fanzine es is true. Watching the game with 30, 40, 50k+ reds would be lovely and much better than trying to cram 100 at a time into bars

crazy. was the same in Kiev, I don't mind if they want to increase the price 50% but to do like a 700% increase is absolutely crazy.

Closest i could get for half decent quality and price was about 25mins by taxi, on match day would be an hour I guess.

We're driving the whole way.

Leaving Thursday evening. Ferry to Calais and drive through the night and should arrive in Madrid 18 hours later.

Got an AirBnB 40 mins outside of Madrid for £320 for 5 of us. Reckon it's going to be around £180 each for fuel, tolls, Ferry and accomodation. Not bad at all

Just heard something that made me volatile.. Spanish guy in my office whom I had asked to make enquiries with his contacts down there on the ticket front told me that they are all on the rip off trail..

One of those guya has 5 tickets because he is working for the National Football Federation and he has offers actual offers for €2.5k for each of the tickets but he wants to wait until people are more desperate and he can get €4k

I mean wtf..

these fackers get tickets and don't even want to go. Facking seething.

I managed to get a good deal. I mean I got facked over on flights. 700 euros and have to go via Ibiza ffs, but for accommodation I'm ok.. I had reserved somewhere for 850 euros for 2 nights.. facking shiiiiithole, but I didn't have to pay.. so kept looking.. and got a reservation at a decent hotel for 350 for the two nights so cancelled the other one... got lucky tho I think..

ive only got 100... the club facked people like me over when they reset the points... I only got a ST a few seasons ago.. before that I went to every game, plus away games on membership and had hundreds of points... since they reset it I cant get anywhere near any away game at all.. and I used to be able to get anything apart from arsenal... I wont get near a ticket via the club

I've only got around 100 loyalty points. I had around 220 a couple of years ago. Looks like I've lost loads since becoming an ST holder.

ive got around 100 and I had almost 300 before, so like you I have lost out massively.

in Amsterdam I got offered a ticket on the day for 1,250, which I turned down.. so I don't think I will be able to afford a ticket at all.. only hope is corporate, and I have been in touch with a few people, but unless the other 5 people I'm going with also get tickets then I would prefer to watch it in a bar with them than in a corporate box, probably full of Liverpool fans. I am ok with the fact that I almost certainly wont be able to get into the ground.

my understanding is that the club did some kind of reset the year we moved to Wembley and they expanded the nmber of season ticket holders.. guaranteeing those people a ST in new stadium... think they reset everyone who did that... so basically my loyalty for the previous however many years when I spend all my money buying tickets on membership meant nothing... got proper facked over.

I didn't even realise for ages that my LPs had vanished.

I don't remember being told anything by the club. Probably hidden in the small print... I wouldn't have been bothered, until I realised I would have got a ticket for the CL final

I'm happy getting pi$$ed up in Spain, with the sun on back with 1000's of other fans. Be a good laugh

not to my knowledge,,,, me and my friends assumed it was an error at first.. until I couldn't get tickets to any away game at all..

That's a scandal that, so who benefited? those that had season tickets longer but less loyalty points?

I assume people who didn't have many loyalty points but became season ticket holders.... as everyone else got reset back to zero

i think the loyalty points are done over the last 3 seasons
so people who go to away games and renew season tickets build the points up

ive got 206 but ain't been to many away games recently

if you want to boost your loyalty points you can by buying a ticket to watch spurs ladies at home for £5 and you get one loyalty point per game so i was told by a bloke i know on sunday

I know one guy that has a ticket through normal channels. he has one share of Liverpool so is a priority rights holder. His ticket cost him £160

LFC ballot results out at 2pm, or rather start coming out at 2pm..

Let’s see what happens in 2 hrs then.
