Sunday Times says we want Philip Cocu.

Apparently he speaks much better broken English than Steve McClaren?

Sho they shay.

Maybe McLaren as DOF and Cocu as coach?

The problem with Moore for me is that he was part of *that* team. The one that gave up.

If he turns out to be a great manager that could come back to haunt us, but at a time when the team needed leadership and togetherness when the management offered nothing, the players didn't step up either. That doesn't make me believe any of that squad could be leaders if the going gets though.

It's often said he's "too nice" which could well play into that.

Moore doesn’t seem to fit the criteria that Mel laid out last week, he wasn’t known for good football at West Brom that’s for sure.

My worry is that Mel might think Moore fits the “connection with the fans” brief, given he seems an all-round good bloke and used to play for us. It’s a flimsy reason for an appointment. Cocu would be a coup.

A "coup of cocu" even?

If he brings back room staff with him it’ll be a Cocu and co coup.

Let's hope that if he's appointed he doesn't turn out to be a clown.

Lampard will be at Derby today and if he doesn't announce his resignation will probably be at Derby next May.

It's just that I can't see Abramovich employing a rookie manager. It would be completely out of character. He isn't the sentimental type either. Had he wanted to employ Lampard he could have done so by now.

I'd be happy with that Spart.
It's been a very strange few weeks. Seen and heard enough of the media fueled speculation.
Either Derby, Chelsea or Lampard need to state exactly what the position is.

Derby County Football Club has excused Frank Lampard from reporting back for pre-season training on Monday and Tuesday to allow his discussions regarding a potential move to Chelsea to be concluded as soon as possible.

The first few days of pre-season training will be focused on fitness training and will continue as planned under the guidance of the fitness, medical, conditioning and sports science teams at the club’s Training Centre.

On the assumption that Frank will reach an agreement with Chelsea to become their new manager, the club shall step up its efforts to find a replacement manager.

I’m not turning up to work today because I might get a new job that I desperately want but obviously not enough to cut my holiday short to discuss terms.

Just get it over and done with ffs

Calm down everybody. No need to fall out with anybody. Everything has been done in the open and no skulduggery is apparent. Either he will stay or he will go. I hope he stays.

I hope he goes if we are gonna get cocu.
