On a positive note, Saka was really decent and Auba finally scored away to a top 6 team (albeit one in the bottom half of the table)

We both bad.

At the moment, the results don't even concern me. We're just playing really, really awful stuff. If only to get the handbrakes off this team (who do have real attacking potential), we need a new manager. If we could defend, you might at least understand why we're so negative, but we can't even do that.

Saka looks good. I am beginning to worry for Pepe. Looks shocking when it comes to the final ball (shot or cross). Nelson is also not ready for this level. But wtf is Emery doing playing Torreira as an AM??? Way to completely utilize our best DM in the WORST way possible

Who saw Pepinho? Absolutely woeful. Might as well play Ozil there as he can pass the ball straight.

The best we've looked this season was against Forrest with a midfield prepared to press and full backs who deliver quality. Ironically the second string look better than the first team.

We looked so lethargic today. Some of our players haven't had game for over a week but looked like they'd done Sunday/Thursday/Saturday. Two muscle injuries in the last 10 minutes after 6 days without a game. That can only be down to the way we're being coached. Guendouzi & Willock stand out by a country mile every time they play with their energy levels.

Probably the rage, but I seriously can not remember an academy graduate as pathetic as Nelson get so much game time. Time guy simply isn't good enough. Waste of a substitution every time he comes on.

Utd have Newcastle away next Bats

Do you think they will lose that ?

Even in Wenger last season the football wasn't this bad.

This is torture to watch.

Emery really needs to be sacked

Yes, absolutely

All it needs is Xhaka being dropped. His passing is not fast enough to play at a high tempo.

Just watch the game against Forest. Yes, its a Championship team. But just watch our flow.

Nelson was abject. Had two gos at a corner kick but couldn’t lift the ball into the box.
You can see why Saka is ahead of him.

I think Saka played well, such a young boy, to control the ball well move out of tight corners he is good.
I think Pepe needs to practice shooting seriously, he needs to put on his shooting boots

Those corners were shocking

Regarding Saka.. I like how he reacted to Young roughing him up early in the game. Brought out a slightly more aggressive side to him when protecting the ball in the second half

When Emery starts Xhaka he needs to play him in the right position. That isnt DM. Same as Torreira. He is a DM but played as an attacking midfielder.

Pepe was piiiiiss poor. He is glad that Laca isnt fit.

Nelson played a couple of good games for England 21s and scored a couple of goals for Hoffenheim before being dropped and warned about his attitude. Never seen him have a decent game for Arsenal. Just not good enough for Arsenal.

We spent £72m on Pepe I still can’t get my head around it.

Not gonna pretend that I knew he would be garbage or anything but I called it from his debut that he was way too ‘raw’ for a player of his age. Surely our scouts could see how garbage he was when watching him (if they even did).

So many players looking bad and you know they are quality, I think we have enough evidence that Emery won't get it right.

Was a big name in Europe. Supposedly highly rated and wanted by top clubs. I think we bought into the hype and jumped on the bandwagon without really assessing his qualities.

I hadn't seen much of him at Lille, but my first impressions of him when I saw his YouTube highlights were that his ball control and technical ability looked well below par.

I didn't think it would be this bad though!

Xhaka could thrive in a slower league. He is like a poor poor poor version of Pirlo...deep lying playmaker. But to do that in England requires more than a good range of passing. You need either pace, defensive abilities or the awareness needed to never get caught on the ball. He has none of this. Cesc was not quick, but his awareness got him out of trouble. Rarely lost the ball. Santi (one of my all time faves) had magic feet AND was defensively pretty good to go along with his range of passing. He was not slow either. What does Xhaka bring to the team???

posted on 30/9/19

I would rather play Willock than Pepe at the moment. When Laca is fit we need to keep Saka and drop Pepe. We need Tierney and Bellerin back. Xhaka needs to be dropped. Think we should try Holding and Chambers at CB. Even when Luiz has a reasonable game he ALWAYS gives the opposition a guilt edged opportunity.

posted on 30/9/19

Pepe needs to buck up or based on form, Saka will be taking his spot when Lacazette gets back. But this is Emery...so form means nothing

Who scouted Pepe. After 5 mins I could tell that he has no bottle no quality and no right foot whatsoever. Did none of our scouts see any of this? A few show pony tricks can be performed by kids on the beach.

I think Pepe has a decent first touch from a technical point of view. However he just seems to constantly stop the ball dead instead of moving it into the direction he wants to travel like the best players do. That then gives a defender opportunity to reset their position or, in most cases, his momentum takes him past the ball and it ends up getting stuck under his feet causing him to rush his next move.

For me that isn't a flaw in his technical ability but is a habit that should have been coached out of him by this point in his career.
