That really, REALLY gets on my t!ts. My line manager goes to management meetings and always comes out with this kind of schite.

I like to draw his attention to his unacceptable whankspeak instantly to bring him back down to earth.

‘No need to throw the baby out with the bath water’.

‘Boulders on the runway’.

‘Run it up the flag pole’.

All regular comments from a manager I used to have.

Yes, he was the end of a bell...

Read a comment online before that no matter the situation in the meeting, just throw out:

"it's about finding a balance" and everyone will agree and nod

I've already had a couple of people chuckle at me for my emails.

I can't help it.. just blunt and to the point. I can't be bothered learning all the jargon 😂

Whit in the name o f@ck?

Run it up the f@cking flagpole???

Our old managing director used to TRY to come out with all these buzz words and phrases and always got them wrong

He was a total helmet as well.

"Further" instead of furthermore does my head in.

"Pursuant to the below"

"Per my calendar"

"I hope you are well"

"Next steps"

Buzz word bingo was a game we regularly played at meetings. See which manager came out with the most.

Also had a debate with a regional manager who told us he didn’t believe there was such a thing as a genuine mistake. You mean we meant it then? Fud.

I have realised from reading these that there are two I must stop using in emails.

PSA and PSB. Fck, what was i thinking.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

I say going forward and I'm not even sorry about it.

Normally it's when someone has fecked up and I say 'going forward, I want us to do xyz', which is my way of saying 'don't you fecking dare do what you did again'. The stress is on the 'going forward' bit to add emphasis.

Exactly the kind of situation I mean.

The English language is a fascinating thing in that it evolves and changes very quickly as younger and professional people integrate “new speak” into the traditional form.

Some would have us still using an “f” instead of an “s” and saying thee and thou.
