For me does not warrant sacking, he just needs educating.

Statement.

Leeds United Football Club acknowledges the charge from the FA today relating to Kiko Casilla and an alleged breach of FA Rule E3 during our Sky Bet Championship match with Charlton Athletic at The Valley in September.

Kiko strenuously denies the allegation and has proactively worked with the FA during their investigation to date.

The next step of this process will be a personal hearing, in the meantime Kiko will remain available for selection.

The Spaniard has been charged with a breach of FA Rule E3 and it is alleged his words "made reference to race and/or colour and/or ethnic origin".

Casilla, 33, has until 12 November to provide a response.

He's been charged with verbal abusive behaviour, but its a case of aggravated verbal abuse which is comments about a players race or background etc.

Kiko has denied it and Leeds say he's still available for selection.

One person's word against another, guilty until proven guilty in the FA's eyes.

The authorities are duty-bound to charge him, evidence has never been a barrier to them. It'll be interesting to see what decision they come up with and the rationale behind it.

He is Leeds United, what other rationale do they need? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bernardo Silva warranted a 6 game ban, as did Forestieri. I think Kiko will get 2-6 game ban. I believe it was a misinterpretation as Kiko can't speak English and Leko probably doesn't speak Spanish.

If guilty get the lad sacked and save the £8-9m he is still due on his huge contract.

Can we stop with all this ‘the world hates Leeds’ rubbish.

The rest of the football world has moved on from the era where maybe officials had something against Leeds.

They'll ban him no matter what. Not because he's Leeds but because it's racism and they want to be seen to be taking it seriously.

I find this situation very uncomfortable in that it seems to be just one person's word against another. It shouldn't be enough to punish someone. I hope there is more evidence with video footage, otherwise it's a bit of a kangaroo court.

Obviously if he is guilty, he should be banned but I don't think we'll know either way as watching the game live there wasn't any flash point.

The rest of the world may have moved on, Hayemaker, the footballing authorities have not. Hence the 200,000 fine for an offence which did not exist last year, 15 points docking, 10 year ban from Europe, and so on. If Leko felt so strongly about the abuse, he should have spoken to his lawyer and taken the matter to court. That's the only place where such a serious charge should be tried. Whatever Kiko has said or not said, he is screwed.

Don’t believe he’s a racist and if the team don’t think he is and are happy to play with him that’s good enough for me,

Over the years there certainly wasn't a "maybe", there's been a lack of consistency where punishment and Leeds United has been concerned.

Hardaker had a real problem with Revie back in the 60s and that weasel who once formed part of Leeds United's hierarchy never looked after our interests when he ran the EFL.

Rumours are he said " Bera Marca al chico negro"
In other words Bera mark the black player

Problem with issues like this is that they have to make a stand to show they’re serious about it.

Looking at it from a non-Leeds perspective, why would their player make this up knowing the punishment would be retrospective and not effecting the game?

Maybe it’s a culture clash and Casilla has said something he personally didn’t think was racist.

I personally think they should get the two players together and talk the issue through properly. If it was a misunderstanding, educating each other can help prevent these issues arising again in future.

If Casilla is found beyond doubt to have done this, I hope the club dismiss him with immediate effect.

If this is true, then the FA need a 6 game ban instead of Casilla. Bellusci said "do you want a black eye" in the Cameron Jerome case several years ago.

Wasn't Hardaker also responsible for Moan Utd to have to travel to/from Munich with a very tight timeline that caused them to take off in terrible weather and crash?

The fact Coops spoke up for him at the PC last week speaks volumes, the FA need to accept no racism was involved put it to bed and let us move on,

if that is what he said ...why the fack is he being charged with anything ?

Forestieri was found not guilty in court of racially abusing a Mansfield player during a pre-season game. However, the FA banned him for six games after they conducted a separate investigation. It seems that the FA operate a guilty unless proven innocent policy rather than the innocent until proven guilty system we have in law. I would be very surprised if the FA dont ban your keeper. Racism is very much in the spotlight at the moment so they will want to be seen to be doing something about it even if it's not proven.....

What Casilla allegedly said is no different from saying "mark the ginger guy" "mark the tall guy" "mark the old guy"

If they want equality and diversity, why is saying the colour black being perceived as negative.

posted on 5/11/19

Just out of interest, if the there are two strikers and one is white and the other black and you have to get a message to a defender to cover one of them, what's the easiest way to convey that message, does he have to say to Bera, mark the one who is not white. Just because someone refers to the colour of someone's skin it doesn't make them racist. The police when identifying people use racial codes. Perhaps that's the way forward.
