Just watched the tackle, would have been a harsh red card I think.

Good thing there was VAR, Hippo. Helped the ref make the right decision and not give a red.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ref wasn't even going to book him until he spoke to the injured player.
Happened a couple of times yesterday. Moss is a clown.

playing a good game of football = doing stuff that makes it more likely, that your team will win
playing a bad game of football = doing stuff, that makes it more likely that your team will lose
if you go down to ten men, you usually don't win.
so if you do something that could get you sent off, then you have played a bad game of football, because you have done something that could have made it much, much harder for your own team.
this is why people often say a player who gets sent off "let his team down"
how on earth is this hard to grasp.
----
So if the ref sends off a player due to mistaken identity, has that player let his team down?
What if the player gets red carded for a yellow card offence? What if the red card helped the team win (Ole example already given, and Suarez at the world Cup another). You have to be an idiot to not to understand this point.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
again, why bring up these one in a million situations? there are always exceptions to the rule.
-----
They're not one in a million. They happened and have happened quite often in the world of football. You made some weird analogies up that has never happened. Why bring in those when they have never happened?

Almost every tackle Paul Scholes made was potentially a yellow card which could potentially be turned into red cards if the ref decided to give it, so basically Scholes never had a good game for us, they're all null and void, because of those potentially match ruining imaginary red cards.

What are the effects of red cards that aren't given?
I thought he played well and showed a lot of promise. Even if he had been sent off (I don't think it was a red though) it wouldn't have been enough to discourage me about his performance. Things like being impetuous can be coached out of a player. To look at it as a positive though I'm glad he likes to get stuck in as too often I think we're too nice to play against.

Wait, you just said Williams was ‘decent’? This whole stupid argument started with you stating you can’t possibly say a player was both decent and lucky to avoid a red card. Yes your view is that he is decent and should have got a red card, meaning he was lucky not to do so?

If you disagree why don't you just answer properly with your view on how he played (minus the red card) when I asked?
