Nothing can be done now. All done and dusted surely. Clearly would’ve made a big difference at the time though.

Think that’s clear as could’ve been the difference between administration and liquidation or wouldn’t have ended up with a joker like Whyte. And would’ve meant the witch hunt against Rangers would've been seen as the farce it was.

Would’ve been raging if this came out while we were in second division, but we’re back now, for a while anyway

All the Celtics fans and their cheating allegations

But you did cheat didn’t you?

Aide letters. A tax bill of £20m unpaid is still a tax bill of £20m unpaid.

I quite like how everyone is getting a bit giddy about it all.

‘The London Times is running it!!’ to make it sound how big a story it is.

Maybe somewhere inside it is, but it’s not front page like the local version.

It’s looking like a story that’s been spun to suit-but it’ll give the more mental element of the Gers support something to cling on to and new to moan about.

Should be fun.

"As the report says, it could all have been funded by player sales."

Does this mean that Naismith et al are even bigger rats than they were before?

Witch hunt?

But Rangers were found to have been guilty

A tax bill equals cheating? How is non compliance with tax rules by Rangers any different to any other non compliance by any other clubs, be it tax or legal?

Relative to the size of Dundee, Hearts etc our non payment was no different.

But we were relegated to the Third Division they weren’t.

I don’t know if this has ever been said, but you weren’t relegated...

Twitter is good value on days like this.

I think some are forgetting that David Murray buried the oldco by not doing his due dilligence on Craig Whyte.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I especially liked the one where someone was claiming if this tax bill had been avoided and if they hadn't wasted £20m on crap players then things would have been different.

Aye, ya think!?

No, that’s not what I said. I only said you weren’t relegated. I’ve never said you were a new club.

In the end they were lucky to be allowed to start again in division 3.

Got off lightly.

Has to be said, IF this story is accurate then what a monumental stitch up our club has suffered.

I would imagine this will make merging the two companies together a more attractive proposition.

Who owns the Oldco? Whoever it is could be in for a hefty payday.

Remember when the Tims claimed ours were the tainted titles

A lower tax bill might have made the club slightly more attractive to potential buyers, that's all. Chances are the outcome would have been the same.

The cheating is not being disputed, just the severity of it.

Is that the general overview of the 'revelations' today?

Think of the damages they could claim against HMRC.

This will run and run and i bet HMRC end up paying out.

The word demotion was mentioned earlier. Rangers were never demoted. The club ceased to exist and was replaced by a new club that had to start in Div 3.

Glorious, isn’t it?!

In line for a hefty payday-over a bill that’s still not been paid.

I’ve actually seen one saying that they’re due a £50 million pound rebate!

Is that how it is deBear? Not even a hello or an explanation of where the fvck you have been for 2 years?

Nope just straight in with a twitter story about Rangers

How do yout hink we've felt? We've been worried sick about you, but did you even care to think about us? Oh no...

Just looking after yourself and your family.

Pathetic and disgusting

I hope you are proud of yourself. I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed

Alright dafty and you can't see how a solicitor would be able to prove the additional tax bill that was levied on the company that didn't actually exist played a part in its downfall

That should be a piece of pash for any solicitor worth his salt.

Your honour the extra £50 million valuation of the tax bill put us in the ground.

Ok, pay up what is owed then.

How much is that?

Eh, 40 million +

We withdraw our motion.

Had rangers paid £50 million for nothing you’d have a point, ultimately you’re pashing in the wind.
