The club needs some stability, because the other managers who “did better” didn’t have us close to competing for the league, or the champs league, so what’s the ambition chopping again? Top four, Carabao Cup and a sacking was in three years? The squad needs a complete reset, to build upon. Anyone expecting us to win the league within the next three or four years without a Saudi takeover is living a complete and utter fantasy.

Ole is the shield that’ll protect the owners and Ed whilst he cuts out the cancerous players and sells off the junk, whilst laying the foundation for future success. I have strong doubts he’s going to win us anything, but I’m confident that three years of Ole building a stable squad will do more good than the alternative.

If Pep or Klopp were available and desperate to move to us then it’d be different, but they aren’t.

Ole won’t be at the club for three years.

Ole will be gone before 3 months as the fans will force that change

Shortsighted, impatient idiots. Won’t change a thing. The merry-go-round continues.

It won’t be the fans. It will be the shareholders.

You mean Tielemans the player who wanted to join us in the summer and waited for a response only for us to say no?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And that’s Ole’s fault is it?

And that right there is why we need a big fat greasy people trafficking Saudi. It’s the only thing that’ll give the fans that instant transformation they crave.

Fan pressure will influence shareholders who will see negativity around Ole as a a sign to say bye like the other managers. It’s bye bye ole

In that case you’d be wise to copy the text from this article so that it can be reposted for the next manager in 12 months.

You may be right, but it’s kind of irrelevant.

It’s a strawman argument to suggest all people want is instant transformation anyway. Not everyone that is questioning the management is a complete waaaaanker like Flamengo We Win - though no doubt there are quite a few.

I’m sure most would get behind a gradual rebuild providing the signs are there that it’s going to be successful. There’s no signs of this with the current management, and eventually the players, fans and shareholders will start asking questions and Ole will be sacked.

Rosso

Is it Ole’s fault for ignoring our midfield problems when there was clearly a quality player available who wanted to join the club who could improve us? Yes.

They do want instant transformation though, because they want rid of a manager who hasn’t instantly transformed us...

posted on 1/12/19

They want rid of a manager that is doing a bad job and making us worse as well.

posted on 1/12/19

And many didn’t want him in the first place, so don’t fall into that category either.

Well then maybe they shouldn’t have hounded out LvG and Mourinho.

Can’t have it both ways.

Same result as you Lonewolf, if only you had kept Stan Cullis <laugh >

Eh? How do you come to that conclusion?

I’d love to know who people think would do a better job.

I don’t think it’s much to expect a better manager to be doing better than we currently are. There’s very little to prove that Ole is a particularly good manager.

So who is going to come in and make us challenge for the league and champions league within a timeframe that fans like yourself will be willing to tolerate?

There’s probably loads, to be fair, we are 9th.

So our ambition is 5th? 6th? 7th?
