Probably saw me singing his praise a lot over the summer along with hoever. Williams is the real surprise for me, hes proving hes one to be excited about too, some of those crosses today... still all incredibly young and a long way to go but exciting none the less.
Isnt it great how English football has changed and we are.not seeing the benefits of it all. Foden, maddison, grealish, elliot, jones etc the youth academies across the country finally producing technical players.
Wheres our next sterling though? Our hudson odoi/rashford type. Hes been converted to a lwb it seems 😂😂 we could be stacked at fullback at this rate.
Gomez looks like hes getting back to the form that made him look better than vvd for half the games, hope that continues and he stays injury free, hes still very young for a cb.
Williams, Larouci, Phillips and Jones were all class tonight. Was super impressed with all of them. Even Chiravella played well and I'm gobsmacked that he's even still at the club but Klopp spoke really highly of him in the post match presser.
Really looking forward to seeing more of them next season as well as for the rest of this season. I'm a little disappointed Brewster has had more chances but hopefully his chance will come. Liked the look of minamino as well. Not sure what his best position is yet and I don't believe we'll see him there again if I'm honest, I reckon he's be better in midfield snapping heals, working the press and creating at the top to support the front 3. We're just boss and loving this season it's been amazing, so much more than last year. I think we're nailed on for the league now and I reckon we have a real chance of winning the Champions League again in addition. The boys look well up for it and I wouldn't rule these mentality monsters out of doing that double. Proper buzzing at the minute at how good our team is, from 1st 11 to the 4th team. Everton! 🤣

Grealish is 24 going on 25, Madison is 23. Foden ,Jones, and others are very young.
To be honest you can see Nat phillips is 22 going on 23 compared to van den berg whos only 18.
Williams is only 18 but already well able to stand up to a proper tough player like richalison and come out on top. That's for me astoundingly impressive.
Elliott is still only 16. The work rate is so so Impressive!
Jones is still 18 will end of month.
Chirivella is also 22. He's not a quick man, but he played really technically well today. He wants his move and will get it.
Do you guys see my point?
Williams
Jones
Elliott
children.
Phillips
chirivella
Not kids, just not made it and need the shop window.
Our team today had:
Experienced keeper who kept us in game
Two experienced cbs.
Milner
lallana
origi
minamino
chirivella.
It's just fringe players.
Larouci just turned 19.
Ki didn't get on, he's still 17 headed for 18.
To have 4 or 5 really good teenagers is great, but they were not all young.

Agreed. He's the one I badly want to succeed due to what he did with England. I reckon there's a player there, he just needs to get his mojo back and break into the first team. I think he can next season if his chances are limited this season.
Its still very young most footballers dont peak until 27+ Defenders even later... what i meant was theyre coming more regularly now theres more of them technically gifted and comfortable on the ball.
Neco Williams’ performance today came as absolutely no surprise to me. On the few occasions I’ve seen him play, I couldn’t help but think at the time that Tent had better start looking over his shoulder ‘cos he’s got serious competition bombing us behind him.
Theyre extremely young, no way id describe chirevella and phillips as experienced. Gomez isnt even experienced hes still learning, wont be in his prime for another 8 years most likely.
Curtis needs to pipe down his interviews a little. That's couple of times hes bemoaned the lack of games when he should be over the moon in scoring winner in derby and 5th pen in shootout. Hes 18 and hes not going to get in this great Liverpool team yet.

I this kid steps up then Trent can go into midfield. Would love to see what he could do from the middle with his passing ability. What's scary about us is the players to come back from injury. They could come back and make us so much stronger heading towards the end of the season. Loads to be positive about at the minute.

Hmmmm. If you are 22 then you are not young imo. Its high time to be out earning your crust.
There's experience and experience. Like you could tell a couple times with Williams that he got caught with players in the box.
Sure gomez is not vvd in terms of years of service and Phillips is not gomez but there's a gulf between a boy of 18 who's barely sniffed a ball in senior action like williams and Phillips who's at least had a loan under his belt.
Phillips had lost time with injury yes that's true but physically even there's a huge gulf between a 22 year old and an 18 year old.

Experience at higher levels obviously help but its not the be all and end all neither is age. Vardy being a prime example of a late bloomer. Klopps not looked at players like Phillips and looking at his age or how many times hes played if he likes what he sees in training he will trust him to play, if you’re good enough you’re old enough.
There an average peak age but everyone is different and will reach it at sifferent times under different circumstance a lot simply never will too due to injury or whatever or not finding the perfect surroundings or have the correct attitude to do so.
