Based on the above quotes, it appears MB is referring to fans and the media regarding negativity.

This part sounds complimentary:

"Victor Orta is working very hard to try to resolve this. The president supports the needs of the team and if we can resolve it: better. If we cannot resolve it, it won’t be for a lack of effort or someone is not engaged.'

He spent a lot of time defending and praising both AR & VO. He said a number of times he is happy with the transfers.

He did have a frustrated rant. But that was not about anything at Leeds. It was against all the sides flaunting the P&S rules. He wants Leeds to continue to work within the rules & feels the club is not given the credit it deserves for this from the media. Feels the media should be harsher on those that don’t stick to the rules. It could be suggested he sees this as a much more significant form of cheating than the spying he was vilified for

Me as well earlier. I just couldn’t be bothered getting into a protracted debate about it, plus it’s true to say I wasn’t 100% concentrating on it. But what I was sure I heard is as it’s now being confirmed by others.

👍👍

Get into protracted debate. Get filtered.

I’m all for debate and totally understand why people would have issues with certain aspects. Especially transfer policy. But the forum relies on people giving honest opinions and not manipulating stories to suit a personal agenda. When being right becomes more important than finding the answer the purpose of debate is lost

Bielsa is talking as the coach of LUFC. Jonty's criticism, as I read it, is about the way in which we pursue players, and the ends to which we will go to secure their signatures. There are plenty of posters who agree with Jonty, as just as many who disagree, but I cannot agree that he has an 'agenda'. He is just passionate about LUFC, like the rest of us. His opinions are generally interesting and they spark lively debate. If that is his agenda, all well and good.

Spanish, love the cricket. Will be listening to it on talk sport all day. Or at least as much as possible. Solid start and first session today is so important. We are in a good position but if we lose 3 wickets in the first 10 overs will all be wasted. And we all know we are more than capable of it.

ATBR, I agree that Jonty does bring some interesting debates. And I enjoy discussing them and agreeing with him often enough. But he clearly has an axe to grind with Orta & AR and it’s a shame really. It gets in the way of his credibility when he clearly cuts out tiny bits of a quote and twists it suit his agenda. You can see the quotes above and it’s impossible to think that Bielsa is doing anything other than defend the owners, and it’s impossible to think that Bielsa is referring to anyone else other than the fans and media regarding the negative feeling. Yet Jonty cut out the evidence and told everyone something that’s clearly not true. It’s bottom of the barrel tabloid stuff. I wouldn’t mind so much if he didn’t jump down anyone’s throat who showed a glimmer of a lack of integrity. The irony. And it’s not fair on posters to read that article and start to believe it.

Sometimes it's really difficult to follow exactly what Bielsa is talking about, the coach he uses as an interpreter has a poor grasp of English and what he says comes out as garbled and incoherent. I am sure so much meaning is lost in translation and as a consequence it is possible to read pretty much anything into what he is purported to have said, either intentionally or not.

Faith, agree, I always expect a batting collapse of some sort.. that's just England... think Ben stokes is a wonderful player though, a true match winner.. where ever he is about, anything is possible...

if we get to to 300 odd with Big Ben still in, its all coming home again. I finish half day today, so will be able to watch the last session.. then in for the weekend watching, in and around the football... living the dream eh?

oh and to be fair to big J-Dog.. apparently his mate was at the presser.. prob text him and exaggerated, so he's gone and posted it without the confirmation... I bet he was loving it though

his mate did him up like a kipper, prob the same mate that told him Eddie 'Magnus ver magnusson' Nketieh is strong

Faith, you have illustrated well a problem that's been evident to some of us for many years, going back to the old BBC 606 days. When the love of being 'right' and of seeing your name cited in other people's articles becomes your motivation, the rest of us switch off (and very rarely bother to post these days).

Leeds United fan for 50 years. On 606 (BBC and here) for quite a few years but, as I say, lapsed now.

Personally, I always think the best sort of debate is when its done with respect, a bit of banter, but ultimately being able to see the opposites point of view and in some cases, actually say 'yes, you may have a point'.. admit you may have got it wrong in the beginning.. a lot on here (not just the obvious by the way), won't ever get to that point at all, they'll either try twist around it, or simply not reply if they think have been 'out debated' if that's a term.

I once had a debate with Haymaker and Milky on here ref dropping Bamford, at the beginning of the season - we both conceded some things but ultimately, it was done with full respect, listening to each others points.. from then, I had nothing but respect for Haymaker and Milky.. because I know, even if we disagree on something, it will end properly with a touch of gloves to show respect for a good spar. that's how it should be.

and being 'right' in any debate is simply a bonus, the point of it is to get to the true meaning

For the most part I think Jonty makes great well thought points. I wasn't particularly disagreeing with him yesterday (not 100% sure of my own facts for a start). I did think I heard what I heard, but was willing to be corrected.

You're spot on about him creating debate, often great debate.

I think Spit sums it up well above, debate should be respectful, but with some banter thrown in.

This site offers great perspectives on things surrounding our club, often which make me re-think my original viewpoint - be it players, owners, tactics ….etc …. It's great and clearly given the volume of comments from so many, a focus for many fans of our club.
