Wouldnt be surprised if Ole quit. Good guy who loves the club and he will be hurting more than anyone.

maybe the only manager I will like to think will do that

if he did imagine the scrutiny the glazers and woodward will be under

Never going to happen. But Mike Phelan, Carrick and that scrawny looking kid need to be told to take a hike when the axe finally falls on Solksjaer. Can’t be long now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because he’ll be walking away from a mega payout.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Be a mutual decision. And he isnt short. Plus jed walk into many many jobs

Let's say for argument's sake we accept that Ole isn't up to it. Do we want to roll the dice and employ anyone who may be available or do we want someone who is a well chosen long term successor? Do we trust Woodward with that selection? Is he going to pick someone who will build on the strategy that commenced last summer or tear everything up again and poorly execute the next project?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Not sure but a guy who ticks a lot of boxes for what we need is available in Poch.

Whether he’ll take the job is unknown. But it’s rare such a decent fit is available just at a time when we need them most.

The fact that our distant future lies in the rolling of the dice from Woodward is scary enough.

Someone should grab that dice away from him asap.

He’d be mental to take the job now, unless he’s only interested in the cash.

If he does, he’ll be out again before the end of next season.

last december i was very optimistic with the sacking of jose and all that talk of a dof

with hindsight it was a ploy by the board to distract utd fans and in ole they found the perfect distraction

I expect we’ll see exactly the same again.

I can’t wait for Allegri to be appointed in the summer.

Don't worry guys. We'll announce Bruno Fernandes tomorrow!

We actually do need a hero now. We have to go all out in the Europa I reckon and put our eggs in that basket. Tell Pogba he'll get his move if he inspires us to that trophy or something

Nah. Get the right man in and sign quality and we will be fine

It does seem so simple. The problem is we've failed with that for years!

That's all I've ever felt he was. A guy brought in due to legendary status, whom fans would give a much easier time to, accept poor performances and results from and accept no sign of tangible improvements from. In turn, that would make life easier for those above him.

And whilst some fans are losing patience, many still aren't and the disgruntlement levels aren't what they would be if we didn't have someone in who scored the winner in a CL final. Not sure that's a good reason to appoint someone though

It is that simple. Which shows how bad Woodward is at his job that he cannot achieve this simple task after seven years in the job.

I already said we are pretty much near the least efficient side in the league. We need 2 strikers and 2 midfielders now. Fred is useless like I say. Does nothing to affect the game. Lingard so poor its scary. Ed is to blame. Honestly who buys defenders when midfield and strikers were main issue. When you think of it. How is Ed Woodward in a job? Lets go into the season and replace defenders we didn’t need to replace but our weakest part our midfield and strikeforce who we had lots of players let go in recent years, lets completely ignore that.

Honestly makes me frustrated seeing Fred play. How Mourinho got him into our club with Ed makes the start of our demise. Hoping we get Fernandes and at least a decent striker before January window ends. I think we are now 20th most efficient side in the league.

Exactly. Its conspiracy theory nonsense

Get rid of Ole, then what?

Who comes in and works under the same incompetent Ed?!

Last 7 years we had a managerial merry go round, achieving what exactly?!

Pointless changing the manager now. Summer is when we review the manager's position but better still carry out a root and branch review of whole football operation including the guy who oversees the recruitment of players. For me Ed's position is untenable.

posted on 22/1/20

I'd say having Ole is manager is worse for The Glazers and Ed as the manager will be the last person to be targeted for abuse.

It wasn't me who said about distracting fans. I said he was appointed as fans would give him an easier ride, with much lower expectations than somebody not associated with the club

The talk went from Jose needing to win the league and pressure on Ed/the owners to this abstract time limit of a rebuild.

He appointed LVG as there was nobody better available. Jose made sense. Ole was a bad mistake IMO but some still back him
