I would take what Sportwitness (who I have never even heard of) have to say with a pinch of salt
I thought Ed told Andy Mitten that they had abandoned plans for a DoF/Sporting Director. I wouldn't oppose this though, I assume this is the guy that over saw the recruitment of the likes of Falcao, James etc.

That goes without saying but they own Manchester United entirely and that money is theirs which they blatantly use to finance their loans as well as to.provide transfer funds, whether you like it or not. They decide when to provide funds and how much will be available and nobody can tell them sheet about it.

Are you? Ed recently hired a well known and very connected journo as his new PR guy. Be prepared to see even more of these stories
Utd do this every year, even in the summer, as soon as the window closed, there were reports Utd are looking at hiring a technical director, then after a few weeks it all goes quiet, rinse and repeat. Basically, its click bait, no matter how $hit we are, with the following we have, if there's some sort of reports that we are after a specific player, DoF, TD, tea lady, bog cleaner or whatever, just release some rumors and boom, millions of clicks and they money.
