Some sensational stuff first half today from Bird, Shinnie and Sibley. I thought Bogle was back to his best today at both ends of the pitch and Clarke and Martin had extremely good games. Over the 90 minutes I had Shinnie as my man of the match, probably his best display for us.

It seems only five minutes ago that we were talking about the Holy Trinity of Bird, Knight and Sibley playing for the Academy and whether one day we would see all three together in the first team. Bird looks staggeringly assured. Knight has been moved around a fair bit and used in positions that aren’t ideal but I thought second half today he was terrific with and without the ball. And Sibley has taken to it like a duck to water. He’s stronger on the ball than I thought he would be, uses his body well and looks like the sky is the limit for him. Wowzers.

So, Sibley to Watford for £5m then? Knight to Burnley and Bird breaks his leg then comes back and fecks up his knee.
That's what we normally do with 3 quality midfielders!!

Rev ... no, it shouldn't be an issue and I hope you are recovering!
I didn't know clergy ever retired. I kind of thought you just ended up pottering around churchyards.
Maybe I've watched too many Agatha Christie or Midsummer Murders?

Thanks Peeder

yeah, perhaps you’ve been reading too many Thomas Hardy novels mate

I tend to just ‘potter around’ at home for the time being, whilst my family and I adjust to such a major shift

To be honest, I’m pleased to be out of the institution - it’s just like any other major business - under the veneer of what it supposedly stands for, it’s just a cold-hearted, self-preserving machine

I’m only early 50’s, so plenty of time for a new career yet

Rev, I never stray from the trusty match thread so we haven't been properly introduced. Hope you recover apace

Thanks buddie, I must admit, haven’t seen you much on our side - but as you say, you probably don’t need to travel over there...but I’ve definitely noticed you on here as one of the old faithful

And besides...I only drop over here every so often, to touch base with a few of the old crew....just to make sure you’re all still alive and kicking

Old stalwart always welcome Rev.

Good night Rev

But seriously....what are you lot thinking about the Playoffs, do you think you have enough to make up the ground...it’s only 6 points to makes up

Our meeting in a few weeks time could be very interesting - bloody hell, the way things are going, you could end up taking our place

Yeah but goal difference usually counts for a point 👍🏼

I reckon no chance. I thought Brizzle away was the key fixture. We had just beaten Swansea away and had we won two away on the bounce we might have had a chance of going on a charge. Instead we played very well but conceded three poor goals. Luton and QPR two more where soft goals cost us games we should have won. We’re playing some very good stuff now but there isn’t a solid enough backbone in defence and goalkeeper to back it up.

Not what you typed Vidal..

But had typed a response to Rev and it somehow managed to delete itself suffice to say we still have a huge say in who plays who come the end of the season and imagine us still being involved.

I think so too - results throughout the whole season show how unpredictable this league is

There are still 12 teams I reckon who could make the playoffs - that’s how crazy this league is

And it’s the team that usually puts a good run together in the last 6-8 games, that sneak into the playoffs that will probably go on and win in

We've scored more goal than those noisy lot up the road now as well.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hmmmm - you’ve let in more too I should imagine...

Keep trying Scouse
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Keep trying for what Rev, we have scored more goals than Forest, I didn't make any other claim?

Have you been having arithmetic tuition from Strett?

No problem Scouse....I suppose I was just highlighting, that the fact you’ve scored more goals than us, means absolutely nothing.. especially if you let in more and therefore have less points - because at the end of the day, that’s the all important statistic

But yeah, you’ve scored more than us

Think, had Waghorn converted those two penalties we would only be one point away from the play offs. Had Waghorn converted some of his one to ones this season we would probably be challenging for automatics. Why can't he learn just to lift the ball a bit when he shoots in a one to one situation. I can't fault his work rate or his commitment but he has been extremely profligate with his chances this season.

Because he would be playing in the Premiership Spart and maybe getting as many starts (and goals) as Vydra?

Someone tell Ramdini it was Blackburn we were playing and not Boro.
