Just finish the season now and reward clubs based on current positions. All clubs have played the same amount of matches anyway thankfully.

I don't see how Liverpool can't be champions and forget the rest as it is not predictable.Thats the Premier League. The problem decisions are about ups and downs from below etc

Finish it now and hand the title to Liverpool, I say. I’m not sure about how relegation issues should be resolved though.

As long as they relegate Villa I dont care what conclusion they come to.

With the situation now who cares if we go down.

just axe pre-season and have finishing current seasons as pre seasons

I’ve said it from the very beginning. The season will be voided, there are way too many obstacles in place to complete this season.

I’ve also said from day one that Liverpool won’t be awarded the title when the season is voided but starting to think I might be wrong there

I can see why arsenal fans want the season voided

But for us to be made champions that would mean the league would be cancelled and current positions taken as final.

As happened in Belguim

Voided has pretty been much been taken off the table from all the talk I've seen from Uefa, FA, and the PL.

There shouldn’t be any pre season anyway / travelling for a few months so just do it then

Null and void the lot, start again in September and bin European competitions for next season or give the European places to the currently top ranked coefficient teams.

This season has been compromised too much for it to be completed and considered 100% fair, right and proper.

Any TV revenues etc due to be refunded can be repaid over the next few seasons so as to not put clubs into difficulty.

I think people may be surprised when in a month restrictions are reduced, you can already get that sense from some of the language coming out of some nations hard hit. It would be a mistake in my opinion to do anything like that til the end of May but i fear economy will trump lives.

It’s time to just give Liverpool the title. It doesn’t matter that they haven’t actually won it properly.

Could maybe have a miniature made or a key ring version as it was a shorter season.

Void the season, the fallout might be nuclear. No tv income and no income since March could kill off many clubs.

Sport is the lifeblood of many people's lives even with coronavirus around - yet some are willing to throw that diamond away because they think their club will come out the other side safe and in a good position

I'm not sure about that

There is no real reason to want the season voided apart from self interest, wanting to see a rival denied a title, promotion or relegated.

Anyone unfettered by these motivations will want to see the season completed at a future date, on condition that it is safe to do so.

In addition to this, failing to complete the season will clearly have huge ramifications that could see half or even more of the clubs going into the red. Genius!

I disagree. The much much bigger picture here is the survival of many clubs in the lower leagues and indeed some in the EPL. My concern is not whether LFC get their title, Leicester get top 4 or where SPurs end, if the insistence on finishing this season compromises next season and the ability to have a full programme of league games then the threat to many clubs will be much greater than not completing this season. Losing whats left of this season is effectively a 25% hit, which most clubs that have to off-setting by reducing wages etc. Even this may not be enough to save some clubs.

What most clubs will want is a full 20/21 season. Anything that reduces the ability to have a full league programme will have a much greater financial impact, because a league season is 38 or 46 games and if we cannot complete this it then becomes a half season - so a 50% financial hit.

There will be a point when achieving a full 20/21 season is in the greater interest than completing the 19/20 season.

The Championship said they need 56 days to complete the season & play offs (8 weeks). Add a 4 week season break into that and that's 3 months. Working backwards from a start to 20/21 I'd say the league need to be up and running again by mid June Doable hopefully and a summer of football

Easy to say what your concern is because you believe your argument makes sense. You are careless in your beliefs because they are convenient to you and your club and yet you remain oblivious of this fact.

Let's take this for example

"What most clubs will want is a full 20/21 season. Anything that reduces the ability to have a full league programme will have a much greater financial impact, because a league season is 38 or 46 games and if we cannot complete this it then becomes a half season - so a 50% financial hit."

Im sorry but this is nursery school math. It doesn't work like that at all. I don't know why you're convincing yourself like so. Its clear that's not what most clubs want.

I'm sure you genuinely believe you're not biased, but really, you are. Your above post actually makes no sense, I don't know how you want it expalned as I've seen you countered time and again and you still come back.

You've said all this before and been countered conclusively. No point going over it all again just because you won't budge even in the face of clear facts.

Most clubs want this season to be concluded as well If not it will be cancelled and that looks really complicated

posted on 11/4/20

For sure, that's a given. Most fans want that too.

But if it comes to it I think most will take complicated if it = survival.
