When there's a bucket load of money at stake there's a way.
the dutch way was sickening and bang out of order tbh when it comes to promotion n relegation. can understand no winner in their league due to level on points or what not but absolute robbery for the teams looking to be promoted.
funny how they chose to award their european spots too... imo if ur voiding the season you void european places for the following year too.
dno how they can be happy to deny promotion n relegation but award qualifications to the european competitions

There is some confusion there because if its voided they won't get european slots.
Hence why many are reporting the season has been cancelled

Yep, 100% agree. Complete robbery against poor Cambuur who were 12 points clear and about to get promoted. That money would do wonders for a club like that. Unjust and unfair on a club regardless of the pandemic.
Be interesting to see what the French league do about the Title and relegation issues

In snooker they concede frames despite technically being still in it with snookers. Think this is whats needed here, clubs that have been the worst in their leagues for over 2/3rds of the season just need to do the right thing and concede if the season needs to be cancelled early. Going the dutch route is bang out of order, still cant believe they've done it. Imagine the clubs who only survived relegation because of it feel guilty too, if it was my club id give up my spot due to having a conscience but yeah seems the dutch dont give a sheite.

Eh? Why would any team just accept relegation and the financial implications attached to it if it's not a mathematical certainty? I'm sure the chairmen of all those clubs who've survived will sleep very soundly indeed. Conscience Are you new to football?
I think the way things are across Europe with the Virus still prevelant, cancelling leagues is the only thing to do. Whether from a football perspective that is the right decision, well that is up for discussion.
But as it stands, absolutely no way can any contact sport take place. I doubt any club would want to risk any of their players catching the virus during a game, and then the whole club had to go back into quarantine again. Would make zero sense.

Unless you're relegated already you shouldn't go down. Relegation is a bigger deal than European spots in my opinion and clubs need the whole 38 games to have been deemed not good enough. Plenty of teams have gone on great runs to save themselves historically.
It's harsh on Leeds and West Brom, but the fairest solution in my book.
If the title race was tight then you couldn't award Liverpool the title but they're so far ahead it would be ridiculous not to give them the title.

Dutch FA are stuck between a rock and a hard place.
The league can not finish as their gov has said no football until at least 1st Sept and Uefa want leagues finished before then.
