Yeah agree with you Welsh.

I think what actually happened is Winston made a simple error with his initial comment - perhaps simply due to not seeing a previous post - an easy thing to do. No big deal in and of itself. But when he received criticism of his own post, that criticism made him double down and bite back.

I am absolutely certain that if anyone accused Winston of instigating a diick measuring contest because he was being negative toward another club (even if that negativity was justified), no way would Winston accept that that was what he was doing.

Absolutely. I responded to him with a fairly light comment that I thought was just pointing out a mistake. It said:

"Sure, but let's be honest Winston, it was a United fan that brought Liverpool into this thread with a "whataboutery" comment (I am assuming Keano's Magic Hat is a United fan).

So Inited fans turned it into a diick measuring contest. I just kept it going"

That's good to hear. He has been defending his position with the claim that it is just Liverpool fans who are saying he is wrong (despite 2 united fans and a feyenoord fan have also said it). Always good to get additional opinions.

I’m self employed so it has hit hard but not as hard as some. I’ve managed to keep working, although lost a few students (I’m a private music teacher so able to do online lessons).

Mentally, I’m up and down. And when not working drinking far too much!!!

I'm doing ok - I can work from home so havent been too badly affected. It is so tedious though. Cant wait for football.

Thanks Welsh. I’m really can’t moan - yeah I’ve lost a few students (they do want to come back once it’s over) but most have continued. It could have been a lot worse - the ones who have continued have been enough for me to be able to make sure bills mortgage etc can be paid. So I consider myself fortunate in that sense. So I’m doing ok.

I can though wait for football. The longer it takes Liverpool to wrap up the title the better!!!!

The state of it. You can copy paste comments from that membership and tell Winston he said it a couple of months again and he’d be none the wiser.

I'm not going to do that but I did think he couldn't be more of a pr!ck if he tried and yet here we are.

I actually did that once.

I copied and pasted a comment from askdannyjeeves on a thread that Winston was on. I didn’t mention any names, just pasted askdannys comment.

Winston replied to it, as though it was a comment he himself had made.

I responded by asking Winston why he thought it was a comment he had made. Winston’s reply was that it sounded like a comment he himself would have made.

I just let it go. I knew I had rumbled him. I have to give him credit though, he was able to just walk away from that one and not be the stubborn Winston we all know and love.
