Carlaw quite rightly condemned Calderwood for her stupid actions. But when the Prime Minister of the UK's Chief Adviser does similar- it is not a matter for him. No moral fibre and a slimy sleazy (always puts me in mind of the creepy uncle stereotype overweight, overdressed and with podgy, roaming hands) political opportunist.
FFS it says a lot when Douglas Ross is seen as principled.
They're panicking cos Cummings is running the country telling them what to do. Focus group / opinion based rather than what is best for the country, mind - it is his MO.

are Calderwood rightly chucked it
he should be facing criminal charges
a 60 mile round trip with people in a car to check how bad his eyesight is

I think Cumming's actions were much worse than Calderwood or Ferguson's R&R nookie visitor. The point in comparing them is that Calderwood had the decency to resign whilst Gollum clings on. Boris is now so committed to backing Gollum that it would severely damage him if Gollum goes.

I have had numerous agrguements about this on FB. Unbelievable the amount of people trying to justify what Cummings did by focusing on the media and not what he did
Calderwood had to go, no question, she advised one tyhing then tried to loophole her way out of it. At least she had the decencyt to put her hands up, say she was wrong and go
