Nice of Pep to give him some starts now your league season is over rather than the usual 5 minutes at the end of matches that’s are over.
He looks great, a proper talent for England. Hope he becomes the David Silva type central creator rather than a wide man that cuts inside.
I think Pep is doing the right thing. Taking him out of the limelight is a good thing for a young player in England! Otherwise the burden of too much hype and excessive outside of football lifestyle can ruin a young player.
Best to introduce him slowly to the actions. He looked more mature then last time when he was trying too much.
He’s looked good in the middle and out wide, I think the club will still need to look at the midfield because Silva and Sane will be out and Kev usually has a spell on the injury table each year, but Foden should be rising up the pecking order, he’s clearly ready to feature more next season.

I think he's one of those players - like DeBruyne - who whatever position he plays is given the freedom to go wherever he likes. His positional sense and reading of the game is very good.
He made Robbo look like a Hull defender. First time in his LFC career. Great talent.
makes you wonder about Angel Gomes and Utd.
Gomes, Foden, sancho and hudson odoi were all big parts of england winning the world youth cup.
all 4 apart from Gomes have been given a chance to progress

More game time than Milner this season l?
About facking time, Pep.
Can he be a fixture in the starting XI next season?
Let's hope so.
Talented player.
I reckon him, Sancho (when he comes over), Saka & Martinelli will be jousting to be the best in the league within a few years.
I've just read a tweet from Ian Custis from December 2018 stating Foden would spend the next 6 years on the bench.
Potential Ballon D’or winner imo.
Could probably do with a season long loan somewhere so that he can start most games, unless he will be a shoe in next season with Silva going.

He's made 30 appearances so far this season with at least 8 games left.
Also scored in 4 different competions

Different debate isn't it.
I think and hope that eventually he'll be a big player for City... I was just cheekily suggesting that so far, he has indeed spent most of his life on the bench!
He's been learning from his mentor, David Silva on and off the pitch and he'll replace him next season.

Quite possibly.
Do you think he'll be part of the first choice XI from the start?
We don't have a first choice XI - We have a first choice 3 of KDB, Ederson and Fernandinho.
The other 8 places are always up for grabs.

Fair enough.
Let's hope he starts on a regular basis next season anyway.
I am sure he will be a regular part of the rotation next season, Pep never picks the same team 2 games running. He has been competing for a place in easily the best midfield in the PL so he will have learned a lot from them but won't have been given too many starting opportunities until Merlin moves on.
