Anyone else bored with football?

I feel the same way tbh.

I don’t know what it is but football has just lost that special feeling it once had, maybe because the game and the world has just become so obsessed with money, it doesn’t seem to matter as much anymore.

Don’t get me wrong I love watching Liverpool and cheering us on, but I don’t feel as passionately as I once did. I guess this pandemic puts things into perspective.

Yeah I get you, I’ll still be watching our games but not too fussed about other games. Like you I wish we would have won it on the pitch.

Weren’t so bored a few weeks ago wee you? Itching, like a crab ridden prozzie to get footy back.

Now that the title is Done and dusted, it’s ‘fack the rest of the season, waste of time, no one cares’.

You make me sick.

next season we need to make sure the title is as least competitive till the 34th fixture.

It's different I grant you, but compared to having no sport to watch, I'm quite enjoying the football to be honest.
As you say, more so when watching the reds, but that's pretty much the case during a normal season for me.
The race for top 4 will be more enjoyable to watch than an empty Wembley FA Cup final, and this beach football tournament they have turned the CL into.

No offence to folk life Pranks etc, but you don't go to games anyway, what's the difference? As I said, no offence, apart from the part about you being terrible fans.

I didn't miss football all that much while there was none, but I'm certainly enjoying it now it's back. I've found its return somehow reassuring, even with the oddness of the empty stadiums.

I just hope that Wigan aren't the first of many to go into administration or worse as a result of the pandemic.

Tbh as I've got older and older I've fallen more and more out of love with the game. It's embarrassing because people take it way to seriously and I used to too. I was emotionally attached and a defeat would really ruin my day/weekend.

It's a shame really because my whole life I waited for us to be the best and now we are and it looks like we might dominate for a bit I actually don't really care.

I still watch games but I'm not emotionally attached anymore. Its really not important

Football...meh. ...not in any cups won league at a canter, even when city beat us I laughed.

Fkn bored with it....sht without fans anyway...

Been losing my interest in football since about 2009/10 and every season my interest in it has chipped away. I didn’t miss it all during the Covid break and have watched about 40 minutes since it returned (most of our first-half v Spurs) and that’s literally it.

The break hasn’t helped and returning with no fans, no atmosphere, no celebrations, players not being quite up-to-speed and the seasons momentum being halted in such a way has caused me to not be too fussed about the current season tbh.

you could always watch the championship. great race and lots of good football.

I'm enjoying the full on fixture list, similar to a tournament and the top four race has become more interesting since we've comeback. Whilst the Football hasn't always been the best and the obvious lack of atmosphere, the league has become more exciting since before lockdown.

the only enjoyment I am getting out of this is seeing bruno and Pogba play together and finally seeing what I hope is what Solskjaer has been trying to build.

but by and large the quality of the games has been poor. Players look off the pace, the water breaks, the mass subs. feels like a preseason tournament.

I get we needed to finish it for all the commitments and obligations but if you didn't have those, its clear we'd of been better just restarting in august properly.

yep lets ruin the integrity of this even further by suddenly the most unstoppable team in the league sending the kids out...im sure the relegation battlers and European hopefuls won't have a thing to say to the FA about that haha

theres some right sourpusses on here since LFC WON THE LEAGUE!

We won so out interest is now very minimal. Only watch now to see if villa, west ham, Brighton or Watford get relegated. They wherre the ones desperate to bull.and void it so will be good to see some of them drop out. We can start that with thumping villa today

You’ll perk up once the new season starts. Only natural to lose interest once you’ve got nothing left to play for having been eliminated from the cup competitions,

I think a bit of apathy is only natural unless you’re one of those football purists.

Desperately hoping West Ham go down.

Why are they our problem? Not our fault theyre in position they are in. We should be able to give our kids a chance having earned that right.

Exactly.

Klopp can do what he wants.
