You are fooling yourself if you think the number of penalties shows luck, what do you thing we should all have the same number. We have three fleet footed forwards who get fouled and we get a penalty, after a replay is studied.No bias, no luck, just bitter opposition fans.
Some team has to get the most number of penalties every year, so is it luck, bending the rules, stop being a muppet.

yes, but it shows what cobblers these stats are, because something like greenwood being kicked doesn't even count as a decision, whereas the palace offside (which, guess what, was offside) counts as a decision in our favour.
utter nonsense, but predictably latched onto by fans of clubs who are failing.
VAR got something against Greenwood. Southampton away he gets to ball first and defenders swings for ball but cleans out Greenwood like a goalkeeper trying to kick a ball long. Commentators talking about who was going to take the penalty and VAR ignores it. Southampton home he gets studded and no red card.

we're a meaningless clubs from the midlands who haven't been relevant since the 50s, why don't we get any decisions?
Can see where opposition fans could create a narrative, we have been very very fortunate at times to the point of eyebrows being raised.. that said we’ve also piled forward in numbers and that in itself leads to more pens.
